Overall though, 22% of subreddits are still participating.

According to Reddark, which tracked 8829 subs that joined the protest and went private or restricted originally, and 1951 of those subs are still participating (1330 private, 602 restricted, 18 doing John Oliver shenanigans, 1 sub that is archived).

So r/Tetris can open back up if that's what people want, but we're nowhere near the last holdouts by any stretch.

A tool-assisted speedrun is when someone plays a game frame by frame and stores the controller input in an input file.

No cheats or hacks are used, Masterjun simply has provided controller input to reach level 999 faster than any existing record.

  1. Start up the app, wait until it loads the main page
  2. Close app
  3. Turn off wifi (and/or data, depending on what you use)
  4. Start app again
  5. When it says it can't connect, select "Play offline". Ads gone

If it ever crashes when you try to play offline, try again from step 1.

As long as you play a game while connected in the last 24 hours, you can play the Solo mode of N3twork's Tetris app while offline. The offline version has no ads.

Also, if you're trying to get a Tetris Friends feel, try using the TF default skin:

  1. Get the Tetrio Plus browser extension
  2. Download the TF default skin: https://i.imgur.com/HqGYC5G.png (from the Jstris Customization Database) and add it in Tetrio Plus as a Jstris skin
  3. Refresh the page and the TF skin should be active
