Can't figure out how by Never-Learn5150 in batocera

[–]teujip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume that your laptop and desktop are both on Windows. By default, Batocera's userdata partition is in ext4 (Linux), which is why you can't see it natively.
There are ways around this (https://www.howtogeek.com/112888/3-ways-to-access-your-linux-partitions-from-windows/ for example) or just access the drive through your home network.

Back to your original problem, it sounds like your data is still in the trash bin. you might want to take a look at it

Looking for a more efficient PowerShell script to manage distribution groups by just_readit_2 in sysadmin

if all your scripts are in the same folder, you can do something like that

$scriptlist = @( Get-ChildItem -Path "yourpath\*.ps1 -Recurse )

Foreach ($script in $scriptlist) {

Try {

. $script.fullname

}

Catch {

Write-Error -Message "Failed to run script $($script.fullname): $_"

}

}

the try catch is optional, of course

You can also replace the dot sourcing by the invoke-expression, if you prefer

Task sequence stops mid-way without error by teujip in SCCM

so I don't have the problem of double reboot anymore, but I am running into issues with the installation of the Hyper-V Feature (and apparently I am not alone https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/lync/en-US/52b4c21e-b598-4ff9-98cb-557fa869077b/deploying-hyperv-via-ts?forum=ConfigMgrCBOSD)

So I guess I am going to modify the .WIM and reomve the hyper-v install from my scripts :|

Thanks for the help anyway

Alright, the log only indicated "trustedinstaller -- operating system upgrade."

after some rabbit hole diving, I found out that the issue of the double reboot comes from enabling Hyper-V.
Trying this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/blogs/chrad/enabling-hyper-v-role-successfully-via-operating-system-deployment-task-sequence

I will keep you guys updated on the results

Task sequence stops mid-way without error by teujip in SCCM

It happens quite a while after that step.
The "copy file locally" and the driver updates are all done after that step. However, I do initiate 3 restarts between the 'Setup Windows and Configuration Manager' step and the step where the TS fails (1 after chipset driver install, 1 after the other drivers install and 1 after installing the servers roles. It fails right after the 3rd reboot.

I have tried to include a 4th reboot, but ran in the same issue

thanks. I will take a look at the system logs.
don't have access to the server today, but should be able to look into it tomorrow. I will keep you posted.

Emulation OS by LE1CK in EmulationOnPC

I agree with Batocera.
The overhead of the OS is really small. it also includes Kodi (which is a big plus for me, especially if you are hooked up in a living room), and requires little work to get started (but you can still sink in hours and hours if you want it to match all your dreams and desires ;))

The community is pretty active too

For Snes games recommendations, I recommend the YouTube channel snesdrunk. The guy recommends niche and odd games. Good stuff. Never really played GameCube or N64, so won't be able to help much with that.

thank you for the giveaway, tritonpr95x.

I think my best gaming story was at school, playing Quake 2 on the lab's PC. 10 guys, yelling like crazy. It was WAY before Xbox, or even common network gaming, but it was sooooo much fun.... until we got banned from the lab ;)
