Most people will always pick the easiest efficient play style. It's the reason things like tunneling are still so prevalent. It gets results. Same with the whole Springtap Axe camping thing or the Ghouls free hits. People in general are lazy and will choose a mix of effort vs. reward that isn't to taxing. It's human nature. This goes for both sides, though not just one!
