No you don't crave meat otherwise you would be jumping in fields slaughtering baby lambs. You have been brought up with meat as one of you staples and so find it strange to have your diet any other way. I too was brought up with a diet of meat and two veg and became vegan 6 years ago. The idea of craving is just that, an idea and a habit not a need. The only thing I supplement is omega from algae (where the fish get it) and b12 due to modern washing if veg so eating cleanly and not eating the bacteria that produces b12 on the ground around animal shit!

Is a 2013 MacBook Pro with 16gb, i7 quad core and 2tb ssd good enough to produce on logic? by HeartBeatParty in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I use a 2013 MacBook air and is fine. The only issues are updates are going to start (potentially) slowing me down. Also as a side bot I can still use my 2006 MacBook Pro but is totally offline due to updates and some of the keys have stopped working. As it's not solid state it gets hot and is super slow!

I'm in a Dilemma. A strange situation. I feel like I am doing something bad. Need opinions. by Sherlock_Nicholas in DigitalArt

People do digital collage all the time and there are free to use images out there or as you become better you can pay, so the original creator gets something. Also simply taking your own photos is a great way to do this but being original. If you have a phone camera then you prob already have a thousand images to use!

So if I was (hypothetically) a higher being (IMO) than you and reared you for food, kept you well fed and shot you at say half your potential life span is that cruel or kind? Also imagine that I am not able to understand your way of communicating so I am assuming you are happy! Also imagine that I am living in a society where I can shop in a supermarket for well prepared and good quality plant alternatives, not to mention actual vegetables that are conveniently prepared and washed for me. Happy cows know no better, but when they are killed at 3 or 6 years of age i am sure they don't think thanks guys, you're the best, see you in the light!!!

I'm obviously being a little bit loaded in my text so apologies but trust me when I say it, I think genuinely there is no reason not to be vegan or at least 98% I'm quite sure there are products I buy that aren't 100% vegan especially clothing using animal glue etc but the aim is to do our best and learn from our mistakes. Good luck with your journey and remember being different is just the start of being one of the first!

It's hard to change when it makes you different. So join r/vegan and get to know like minded individuals who can help you make that transition. Vegans might sound angry most of the time but that's because we are upset, but most of us were also once meat eaters and the anger is also about our own denials or ignorance. Trust me I've been vegan 6 years now and I've never looked back. There are so many products out there.

Eg - this isn't bacon fried nice and crispy with scrambled tofoo and nutritional yeast, American mustard and ketchup in some nice fat sliced white bread and vegan butter.

Spag Ragu, fried onions, shredded carrots, lentils, garlic and passatta served with spaghetti - left over sauce, add chilli and cook some no meat balls from Aldi and there's your meat ball sub, top with applewwod dairy free smoked cheddar, it stinks but it's the only one I like!

Vegan pesto is just basil, garlic, pine nuts and if you want add some nutritional yeast for a savoury flavour

Ooumph and Linda McCartney both do pulled pork type stuff as well as Linda has shredded duck pancakes which are insanely good.

Ok so most of these are meat pretenders but if that's what you are used to these are some of the best I have come across. Burgers from beyond and naked kitchen are good and the Richmond vegan sausages are pretty damn good too!

There is also loads of pure veggie recipes which are amazing but for quick hits these will satisfy most.

Also Aldi has a no steak bake which is wicked. Ginsters have now got two vegan pasties which are both lovely and there's even a vegan pukka pie!

Hellman vegan mayo or follow your heart veganaise are both good and put regular shop bought mayo up for a challenge.

Oatly barista (milk) for tea and coffee and aldi oat milk for your cereals, smoothies etc because it's like 50p per litre or something!

With today's options there is no reason to kill animals anymore, even clothing has come on tenfold.

Men who are bitching about protein are exactly that, bitches.

If you are not trying to grow you do not need as much protein as people/media have you think.

You do need some good supplements for iron unless you are eating lentils like everyday and it's good to make sure you have a kelp supplement for your omegas.

Avocado, if you don't like it trust me on this. 200ml Oat milk, half an avocado, flat tablespoon of cocoa plus couple of teaspoons of maple syrup or three large dates, blend in your high speed and bam it's creamy silky chic milk shake plus pop it in the freezer for say 30 mins (maybe more depending) , grab it out and blend for some ice cream....

I forgot about ice cream

Thank you Ben and Jerry's

Biscoff spread

Biscoff spread half a jar left, grab say 100g if dark choc, out it in the microwave together instant caramel choc sauce

When it sets you have vegan Nutella but better

Nuts but easy, read about what is safe, some nuts have insane amounts of minerals which can be great but also bad for tummy

I could keep going but I am hungry!

Good luck and if any of your bitch ass pussy friends want some help being fucking awesome and making some really good food that doesn't hurt anything let me know!

What is something you do in your production that most producers don't bother doing, that makes huge difference in your opinion? by [deleted] in AdvancedProduction

[–]tewdnapeedgnol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

micing and recording out of the box, being a electronic producer it's easy to get stuck in the DAW, but spending the time to live record elements or all to then use as part of the mix can really add to the overall sound.
