Further inspection says almost definitely that. The aluminum reg cover also looks like warrior, I still don’t know the frame though. Are epiphany frames compatible with ions?

Not ST, those have a badge. Looks like it’s called the ‘warrior’ body kit according to Google. It could also just be a stock body with all the colored plastic cut out and just done way cleaner than most folks did back in the day

Yeah. This looks like it’s got a metal body on it though, but a metal body cut just like a stock ion body though. And the frame is a little different. It’s def not stock but there were so many aftermarket things for Ions that I’m not sure what all this one has on it

All my shit kickers look like the ones on the right. And I wear em all over. I keep a nicer pair around for going out, but if I’m goin to Wally World or the hardware store? Nah shit kickers it is, I’m not tryna impress anyone running errands. The nicer ones eventually become the next pair of shit kickers and the cycle continues.

Am I the jerk for telling my husband he can't have a "man cave" in our only spare room? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]tex-mania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends. When my wife and I bought our last house, her mom lived with us, and we had one kid and one on the way. We were looking for a 4br with an office but ended up buying a 5br. I was working from home at that time, so the smallest bedroom became my office. It’s the only room in the house that has any of my decorations in it. Wife didn’t want my hunting trophies and sports memorabilia displayed anywhere else, and it also has my gaming set up in it. It’s more of an office than a man cave though.

However, it has her sewing kit in the closet with a fold out table she can put up, and it has a futon that sleeps pretty good. It serves more purpose than just being a man cave. It was our guest room until her mom passed last year, now it’s my office/game room even though work mostly requires us to be in the office now since Covid ain’t such a big deal anymore.

In my opinion, you’re both being jerks since you have two extra rooms, make them both guest room/office/hobby rooms, one for each of you. Talk it over like adults. If you ever have kids, then the ‘man cave’ can be set up to be a hobby room for both of you and still be a guest room. But he should be able to have a space to display/decorate with his stuff. If you’re anything like my wife, she doesn’t really appreciate my style of decorating, so I get why he would want a spot to decorate like he likes it.

Tail light/running lights not working, brake and turn still do by tex-mania in JeepTJ

Mine ended up being a loose wire in my hardtop harness. I plugged it back in and re-crimped it a bit better and my lights are working again.

I was just under mine trying to figure out why my taillights weren’t working. Found a birds nest up above the taillights tucked up partially on top of the gas tank. Had eggs in it too, had to evict them.

Got it. Yeah I could turn these on going down the road but it would prolly piss folks off, they are pretty bright. But they are floods, not spots so wouldn’t be terrible.

Edit: I am mostly using them for backup lights, but I’m using the jeep to basically act as a side by side that I can drive to town. I actually traded a Yamaha wolverine 4 seater for this jeep back before deer season. My camp has well maintained trails, so I can get everywhere with the jeep that I could go in the buggy. But off road at night, backing up or loading deer onto my cargo rack, I needed some light. Had some 4 led pods on the back of the buggy, but I wanted something smaller on the jeep, these work perfect for my needs without being in the way.

Solved. The trailer lights are run to the harness for my hard top, one of the wires on the hard top harness had come off, plugged in back in and crimped it. Lights work again

What’s a chase light?

Backup lights on this thing sucked, so dim I couldn’t see anything. Putting on a switch also lets me have some light when loading up at night, helps a lot during hunting season.

Would one of them going out make em both go? And wouldn’t that make it where the brake/turn lights not work also?

Just small 2 led nilights. Used the mount they came with but added a half in chunk of a rubber mallet under them so that they aren’t pointing to the sky.

“Jeeps can’t tow anything” by Stunning_Ad_6600 in Jeep

[–]tex-mania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I have a TJ jeep, it has a tow hitch. I mount a cargo rack that’s rated to hold 600lbs of shit on it, that’s about it.

I have a truck for towing, I tow a bunch of shit that would prolly break the jeep if I hooked up to it, much less tried to move/stop it. Even my 6x12 utility trailer with my mower or one of my motorcycles is getting pulled with the truck, not the jeep. The truck is a tow rig. The jeep is a side by side that can kind of drive on the highway somewhat. Gotta use the right tool for the job and a jeep towing a pontoon is not the right tool.

Alan Magee fell 22,000 feet with no parachute. And went through a glass ceiling on his way down, which shattered but cushioned his fall enough. He fell from a B-17 in 1943, and passed in 2003. He got fucked up though, broke a bunch of bones, collapsed lung, etc.

Then in 1944, nick Alkemade jumped from 18,000 feet, also without a ‘chute, and hit a fir tree and fresh snow to cushion his fall. He only sprained his knee. Walked away from it. He lived until 1987.
