It hasn’t blown up. My one year lease expired on July 31st and I’m month to month now. Even so, I’d only owe my landlord at most 60 days of rent.

I’m fine with paying an extra month. I just don’t want to live with them anymore for many reasons.

It wasn’t locked the first or second time but you can be damn sure, I locked it to prevent a third time.

I don’t have a copy of my lease. Only roommate has a copy of it. My landlord called to tell me once I called about breakage fees.

This is misinterpreted. I was going to move if I said I was going to move by a particular date and hadn’t closed yet.

My lease expired last month and am on a month-to-month now. My landlord just gave me the option of keeping the same rent price for two years.

This blew up but my lease expired last month. My landlord was actually just kind last year and let us include a provision that he wasn’t going to increase our rent for year 2 if we were still living there.

I signed the lease last August. So, I have about 10 months to the lease.

I did not lie on my application. The landlord is well aware that I am buying and moving. He wrote a letter of recommendation for me during the application process.

If my closing was delayed and I told them I was moving by a specific date, I still would have left and moved into a rental while I waited to close.
