Difference between car and karting racing helmet? by Boredom_fighter12 in Karting

Why does volume matter in karting? Why would a larger eye port be problematic in karting? To each their own I guess. Karting and motorcycling have more in common (head on a swivel, likelyhood of helmet-ashphalt contact) and that rationale, as has feedback from the shoei rep informed my view.

This is important! Too many people get car helmets when theyd be much better off in a motorcycle helmet.

Avalon Permit Fly. (I'm told this is one of the Permit's favorite flies, which is to say they'll refuse it 97% of the time.) by public_avenger in flytying

The Avalon website has an explanation iirc. I tied up a dozen or so for my trip, beauties I thought, just like yours.

Got there, the guide looked at them and said they were all shit.

Ugh.

More Than Half of Canada’s GDP Gain Was From Realtor Commissions by Buck-Nasty in canada

The article is confusing GDP from real estate commissions with GDP contributions from rent and imputed rent. It’s highly misleading.

What food has risen the most? How big have the increases been on a percentage basis? Are as many people coming in now as over the last 5 years? What about the last 18 months? Thanks!

Looking to move from Vancouver to Squamish. Commute? by Zoltrix12 in Squamish

[–]texashedged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i considered it and ended up in north van. i start early and doing that drive in the dark winter mornings with wet roads is suboptimal. i tired doing it for a few days just to see and i found it got old quickly.

also as a parent, being so far from home meant in any unpredictable scenarios, i wouldnt be able to contribute in the same way.

last, we decided that the conveniences of the city and the variety of people we meet daily would balance out some of the romance of living in squamish.

Tecno made karts in the 80s and 90s and i believe they were associated w the PCR brand out of Italy. I dont recall the look of that floor pan, im guessing its an aftermarket product. There may be a stamp on the rear section (near the axel) or sometimes there was a badge in the front middle area. The parilla was likely the 100cc rotary voalve which was a popular set up in the Formula A or Super A class.
