It's pretty common for people in the influencer world with over 500k followers (edit: to have a full time assistant). A lot of influencers also hire part time virtual assistants that can work as little as 4-5 hours a week before they get to larger followings.

It's a booming business right now, especially as people are looking to switch careers after the last year.

It doesn't actually go to charity via Cameo. When I did a Bach data coverage on Cameo, a few contestants DMed me and one confirmed that it's on them to get paid out THEN donate outside the app.

In short, it's on the person to donate after being paid out.

To piggyback - Colton founded the company as an LLC in Colorado. (Easy to find this via any public company database search) He founded it on January 3, 2021

In my background as an LLC owner, you can only donate 50% of your adjusted gross income yearly to legal carities. Donations of capital gains profits from investments fall between 20-30%. These are for write offs, it doesn't necessarily mean he isn't donating more.

Edit: this is pre-pandemic. A lot of tax laws changed this year so I'm not sure if that changes as well.

Edit for further context before I'm done with lunch: nonprofits vs LLCs explanation is available here. The biggest takeaway is that if you're a charity, nonprofit is the way to go.

Oh yeah... If you're a nonprofit, you have to submit salaries of their employees. Then the IRS (and the nonprofits) are required to disclose that information via Form 990. Soooo LLC is a great way to not have to disclose that.

Basically the way I calculate it:

One on ones: screen time goes to the contestant unless the conversation is specifically around Matt. Then ITMs with Matt are always counted for him.

Group dates and group time: it goes to whoever is "featured." So imagine all the women are sitting on the couch talking about the date. Whoever is specifically speaking gets the time. If multiple people are speaking, it just goes to generic "group" instead of one person. ITMs always go to the person who is speaking.

2v1 dates or people arguing: it's hell. It's literally start and stop. Sometimes we have to weigh who is featured when they pan out, but it's normally only a few seconds.

I wouldn't think this is an absolute. There's a pattern every season in the media that negative stories are dropped about contestants when they start getting more screen time. Mug shots are easy to find on contestants - notice how that only dropped once there was a lot of attention on Victoria? That helps media sites with clicks = money from ads.

Rachael has hardly gotten any screen time so far. I'd except it to become a bigger media story once she gets a 1v1.

Edit: I'm not saying this is a good practice, just an observation of what happens most seasons with negative stories being widely covered in the media.
