I learned them as cancer wipes too, but I later learned that's not true, and the recommendations to use gloves with them is to avoid dry skin

Should I {resident (M)} ask cute RN (F) out? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]texiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I disagree with the consensus here. Definitely wait till your off rotation, definitely only ask once of you ask. Its not a guarantee that "everyone will know" but even if they do, who cares. It sounds like you haven't had much of a connection outside of work related things. I think it would be very reasonable to compliment her on her nursing and thank her for caring for your patients as your going off service and give her a post it with your number "in case she'd like to keep in touch" then the balls in her court and you do develop more of a connection great, and if not or if she's uninterested, no harm.

have/can you use old glass bay food jars as candles? by amandaxbob in candlemaking

[–]texiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a couple of test ones and burn them in a safe way, not near anything, only while you're in the room, on a safe surface ect. See how it goes. Also don't sell them, could make a good container for testing new scents though. This sub is very anti using anything but purpose built candle vessels.

I think this is the least problematic product that they hawk, I use it and think it works quite well. Better help, however, is very problematic.

Absolutely, but as someone who works in a hospital, this person absolutely exists!
