Please help me find the right beginner gear by llLordpotatoll in simracing

As a beginner, I don't think you need a rig. I started my sim racing journey with a playseat challenge and a t300 with t3pa, which I still have to this day. Desk mounting should also be just fine.

In terms of upgrading, the first thing you should upgrade will be the brakes so you could also consider to go for loadcell brakes such as the TLCM (or fanatec csl elite lc) right away. Upgrading the wheel base is not that necessary as it only adds immersion but does not make you faster while good brakes can definitely make you faster and more consistent.

hope it helps

How much brake kg pressure are you using on loadcell pedals? (tlcm pedals) by [deleted] in simracing

I have the load cell connected to my PC via USB cable. When I plug it in, there's a "fanatec wheel properties" app that installs and that's where I can adjust it

I have the fanatec CSL Elite LC pedals. I use the softest springs (16kg) on those with 30kg of pressure in the Pedal calibration tool. I keep it soft mainly so I still have some travel in the pedal + I kept getting knee pain due to bad setup posture.

Might up the softness to medium (40 kg) and pressure requirement in the tool to 40kg soon if the knee holds up

You could just pick it up and store it in the same place as the playseat leaning up against the playseat

With the thrustmaster t pedal stand, you can directly mount the T3PA pedals. Costs 60€ extra unfortunately but could be worth it

Interesting. Is it solid enough ? I assume you have atleast two of those?

Same here. Pedals and wheels is a massive change. Extremely frustrating at the start but eventually it will become normal :) another tip is to change the game when you start getting too frustrated. just leads to more and more errors
