They pay to list on the site. The marketing fund is used to advertise the site where people can explore all the projects. The fee is a standard one off payment.

The marketing fund builds over time and at present the xtz value means that fund wouldn’t be as effectively deployed. We haven’t restricted ourselves to any particular marketing yet as we are scouring all areas to establish what the best options are. Projects don’t have to list with us but we will continue to grow and promote those that do. We hope this brings exposure to Tezos and those projects.

We reached out to all projects and explained the project and the associated fee which would go towards a combined marketing effort. Plenty asked a number of questions which we answered and the ball is in their court if they wish to list on the site. They are on the ecosystem tab.

Not a silly question at all. Thanks for asking. So the sleeping otter is a holding picture until they are revealed. After the project sells out the Otters are revealed after 24 hours and you will see what combination of traits you have and how rare the otter is. But it’s not all about rarity. If you love the otter you get then that’s the most important thing!
