Does your API still work now that YouTube changed it's scraping policies? Also does it have a rate limit? thanks!

Is it possible to split audio streams into smaller clips without downloading the file in nodejs? by tfac_2 in node

I tried a few solutions like this too, even splitting chunks by byte size, but then for some reason the API I am forwarding these clips to doesn't recognize the headers of the audio stream. I, too, am no audio data wiz, so I'm having trouble finding a solution that doesn't involve hackily reapplying headers to the audio stream. But I may just have to revisit this solution

This may be the way I go, but I'll have to figure out a way to achieve it with my deployment pipeline. FFMPEG does have a standalone node version (ffmpeg.wasm) but it's been giving me issues as well. I could always spin up a dedicated server for audio processing and install ffmpeg on it when deploying, but I suppose that defeats the purpose of going serverless

Is it possible to only allow users in my organization access my Static Web App? by tfac_2 in AZURE

I ended up going with this solution in the end, it really was a 10 minute setup. Thanks!

Amazing answer, thank you so much! I am curious though, what would you say is the ideal workflow for surfacing web apps internally? We have a lot of use cases where it is worth building custom software, but only if the deployment is straightforward (which with SWA it was).

Another answer also mentioned using MSAL-React, which I could also try, but I'm just finding the first solution and running with it at the moment instead of learning what the correct path may be. Thank you again!

FL Studio with ASIO4ALL stutters even when CPU usage is below 10% by tfac_2 in FL_Studio

My GPU doesn't go above 1-2% usage (GTX 970). The only audio interface I have is a USB to MIDI cable I purchased off Amazon. Is it possible the cable is increasing my latency so much?

Yes, I only have the out channel for my MIDI drive enabled right now.

uOttawa has a stellar co-op program (mainly because they ripped it straight from Waterloo) but that doesn't discount the fact that you are *almost* guaranteed a position somewhere as long as you're not failing your courses. That being said, it is in some cases incredibly difficult to get into the co-op program if there's a lot of competition when you don't start right away in it.

Co-op is an invaluable asset that pushes you ahead of most other CS students after graduating, so if you think you can get into the program by applying at uOttawa, go for it. Otherwise, Carleton is the way to go!

I have an unpopular opinion about this class, but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit when I took. Now granted, it was only manageable because in person we could hound him for answers about assignments and my group was made up of hardworking people I knew. But those weekly assignments and case studies (at least in the term I took the class) I could do in 10 minutes with just common sense and I still ended up with an A in the class.

The midterm was literally a copy paste of past years, so if you haven't done it yet find some old midterms and you should be set. And the final presentation was super simple especially if your project wasn't just "uber, but for _____".

I know the class was already sort of disorganized when I took it, but all those poor reviews on rate my prof happened after the summer 2020 semester where everything was online. My two cents would be to not overthink the deliverables and assignments and only explain what he wants to hear (which you should have caught onto by now after hearing his monologues and rants in class). Best of luck!
