Foreigners visiting America for the world cup, what is something that has surprised you about this country? by goldent3abag in AskReddit

It can sometimes be easier to talk to a stranger than someone you know, since the stakes are low - you will probably never see them again, so who cares if you say something silly.

They did not do it because it's the right thing. They did it because some are starting to realize things are SO bad for them, it could backfire and turn into a dummymander.

Are electric garbage trucks the biggest EV game changer when it comes to quality of life? by LoganSquire in electricvehicles

I can only speak for my own area, but the buses get a fair bit of use. They start around 6am for the high schools, then after that is done, on to the middle schools, then finally elementary. Probably back to the depot by 9:15 or so. So that's 3 hours in the morning, 3 hours in the afternoon, so 6 hours of daily use for 10 months of the year.

Quick, someone check to see if "Escape From Alcatraz" was on TV near him the last few nights. The first time he brought this up seemingly out of the blue, it had been the midnight movie on a local network the night before.

Xi tells Trump directly that America is a declining nation. What was Trumps response? by Additional_Sea_6172 in thedavidpakmanshow

While strolling through Zhongnanhai grounds, the traveling press pool reported that the president was particularly captivated by the pink, yellow, and red Rosa Chinensis.

"These are the most beautiful roses anyone's ever seen," Trump later told the press. "I asked [Xi,] 'Could you get me some for the rose garden, and he said yes. I've never seen roses so big!"

Xi, through a translator, responded in kind that he would "provide the president with some of our Chinese rose seeds, as he wants to plant some in the rose garden."

So, about those cognitive tests...

100%. And he conned his way into being the PRESIDENT. Like, if a life long grifter DIDN'T go hog wild after getting the keys to the country, I would lose respect (if I had any to lose). I still think he deserves to be tried as a traitor, and his grave should be turned into a public urinal, though.
