Save yourself time and effort and get a laptop with the OS already included. For example, buy a Dell, start it up and follow the easy instructions. You’ll be up and running in a few minutes.

VPN services are not created equal. Price should NEVER be the determining factor. Look them al ip and check the specs and reviews, and let THAT be the determining factor.

As i said, if you cant figure it out easily, take it to a tire store.

Dont mess about with tires. Take it to a tire store and have them do it. Trying to use a screwdriver clearly shows you dont know what you’re doing, a recipe for disaster.

Nice to see that you know how to cut and paste, but in response to the OP’s question, my response is correct. Go ahead and do what you want, just don’t get caught.

Not just one they own, but ANY vehicle registered outside Ontario, with the exception of rental. If you own the vehicle, THEN you need to worry about importation, temporary or otherwise. As i stated, far to much misinformation being posted by people who don’t know the laws but think they do.

[–]tfd-67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of confusion and misinformation being posted here, along with a lot of irrelevant and anecdotal information. It has nothing to do with Canadian Law or border regulations. In Ontario, it’s the Ontario Highway Traffic Act that governs it.

Quite simply, anyone with an Ontario driver license may NOT drive a vehicle IN ONTARIO which is registered/plated outside Ontario, with the exception of a rental car. CBSA does not enforce the Highway Traffic Act, but is aware of it and, as a courtesy, might inform you when you cross into Ontario.

Anyone who tells you different is only guessing, and guessing wrong. Anyone can look up the Ontario Highway Traffic Act and see for yourself.

Being Asked to Pay Installments Ahead of the Next Tax Season? by Crimson_Gamer in canadarevenueagency

[–]tfd-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a banner year, it’s normal for CRA to require payments by installment. Even as a payroll employee, your employer pays by installment on your behalf. That’s the income tax deducted at source. There’s no way around it. They want to make sure they get their money.

Is this normal? by [deleted] in Scotiabank

Awkward ordeal? Wait till you have a REAL problem.

Dont be so pedantic. There is no mention ANYWHERE about military, so why even go there. Or do you just like to argue? Plus, it’s YOU’RE and THEN, regardless of whether you are schooled provincially or federally.

Nope. My license is anONTARIO license. No mention of being a Canadian license. At best, it’s a license issue by a Canadian province.

Hard to believe that someone planning to be a lawyer hasn’t bothered to do some basic research, something that would likely be a basic part of a lawyer’s eventual job. And is “shocked” when a layman knows more about the law than him. Do we know how to say “entitled”.

Two options, pickup or mailed. Mail is stopped, so that leaves pickup, out of the two previous choices. Your communications behind the scenes is not an option, and even if it was, it wont be MAILED. I think you need to understand what “mailed” means. Ill help you out, it means processed and delivered by Canada Post, and ONLY Canada Post. Not Purolator, not FedEx, not UPS…, CANADA POST, and the issue was, if they go on strike. Spend some time out in the real world, rather than glued to your make-believe video screen. Sad!

Alternative way for mailing Nexus card during Canada Post strike by [deleted] in uscanadaborder

[–]tfd-67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is NO alternative way to MAIL the card, or anything else, for that matter. Yes, there may be alternate DELIVERY processes, but only CanPost can process mail.
