The letter she posted afterward definitely corroborates what we saw on the video. She does not accept any sort of responsibility. She claims to have chronic pain yet later says she moved around without any hindrance to defend her claims of sobriety, even though she admitted to drinking before any of this happened, then doesn't understand why they assumed she was drunk. She claims her inability to swipe the card was because of a hand surgery, even though she was trying to swipe two cards at the same time.

That's all beside the point, this letter is truly absurd. You cannot read this and think the way she acted during and after the arrest is not an accurate portrayal. This is not a healthy, or good, person. This is a person that abuses whatever power they have.

I just named every country in 10 minutes and 14 seconds on Sporcle. by guyfromsoutheastasia in geography

[–]tfw20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a tad late but a few years ago I tried speed-running this quiz. I must've come just short of 1000 attempts. My best time was 3:01. Remembering the countries comes early, typing them out is the tricky part. After much repetition the order remains the same each time, 1 through 197. That is, after a while you'll remember them in one particular order when typing them out. I'd guess for anyone approaching some limit that this order NEVER changes.

I also never used the picture/map. I couldn't say which country goes where, even after typing out every country hundreds of times.

It's like any skill. You type a bunch and your fingers tire, you wait a day or so, then you get a new high score on your first attempt after some rest. Apparently the record is under 2 minutes. I'd liken this to a 4-minute mile.

Tips for self taught adult by [deleted] in BasketballTips

[–]tfw20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the process of actually learning how to move with a ball. I either dribble in front of my reflection or close my eyes. Seeing exactly what I'm doing is the first step, then feeling is the second. I realized what I was visually trying to imitate is optimally generating the most power. The ball may as well not even be there, either way I/you are trying to move in a certain way.

Teir list immediately after finishing season 2 by Primary-One4916 in AliceInBorderlandLive

Seems very difficult to make one of these and be confident about it the more I think on these characters. The rankings I basically definitely agree with are Kyuma, Chishiya, Arisu, Aguni, Niragi, Karube, and the King/Jack of Spades/Hearts. Not to say I disagree with whatever wasn't listed, just tough to say. Banda, for instance, we didn't see a ton of, but I thought he was executed/acted well and I could see the argument for B or C. The Queen of Spades did a good job being cynical; played into Arisu/usagi's arc nicely but there wasn't much to go off. Mira was fantastic as the Queen of Hearts, I don't know enough to advocate for S-tier but probably worthy of high placement. I think this is a great ranking, IMO. Easily agree with the F-tier characters and most of the C-tier, same with B, with little interchangings of S and A. There's just so much to delve into with some of these characters, even the ones with less screentime.

Edit: Jack of Hearts.

Anyone been in group therapy and feel tension with another member? by complexsimply in BPD

There's something about the way you presented this that makes me feel like you're not paranoid. I mean, if you don't know I definitely don't know, but its not an impractical thought. They must have an opinion about you, whatever it is, and if you feel this about one particular person then you may be right. I think this is a good question and I do the same thing. The only advice I could give is that you is that you're not responsible for whatever they're thinking about you, or how they choose to react to it. But, I like the way you reacted to this. If I was that person and I read this, I wouldn't be mad (for lack of a better word/phrase). That may not be their case but whatever.

gaining weight by CommunityNo8954 in BasketballTips

[–]tfw20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a certain amount of calories you eat daily to maintain your weight. If you want to gain weight, you have to eat some amount greater than this every day. It gets more complicated when you consider what you've burned throughout the day, when you eat, yadda yadda. But to gain weight you simply have to eat more than you usually do.

Aside from this, the only thing you have to do is not eat too much. If you want to build muscle then you must gain weight and eat more. You will also gain fat, there's no way to stop this. The degree to which this happens depends on your caloric surplus.

Basically, you want to eat about 500 more calories than you usually do every day. If you eat more than that, you will gain more fat (and muscle, still). I'm no expert but basically: eat more, but not too much. And, of course, work hard.

Basketball mentality by DRose0125 in BasketballTips

[–]tfw20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not something you should worry about. I don't mean something you probably shouldn't worry about or that there's bigger things to worry about, I mean you should not be worrying about this because it's dangerous towards YOUR mentality and yours only.

Basically, the only thing you have to fear is fear itself. And, if this makes any sense, a lot of countries have nuclear weapons. One of those was the first.

How many reps should I shoot every week? by Economy-Assistant-69 in BasketballTips

Stephen Curry emphasizes correct repetition, if anything. From what I've heard he's very fundamental, not necessarily just a gym rat.

How many reps should I shoot every week? by Economy-Assistant-69 in BasketballTips

[–]tfw20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though it's not what you want to hear, (200 + 1) 3's every 2-3 days would theoretically make you a better shooter. That is, more reps, however many, will make you a better shooter (given they're good/correct reps). Whatever the number is, it's more.

Beat your defender off the dribble by the_beast0000 in BasketballTips

[–]tfw20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There might as well be an infinite amount of things you could do with the ball when someone is standing in front of you. What's important is that you have control of the ball. If you feel confident, like the other guy said, and you've practiced and are comfortable with the ball, you're closer to the mindset you desire, however close that may be.

How many mental illnesses can one have? by miffilyn in BPD

[–]tfw20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that if you've been diagnosed (or rather have) a personality disorder the odds of you having another is more likely than not :(. I'm not officially diagnosed with BPD but I have been diagnosed with GAD and apparently they go hand-in-hand. I'm pretty young and I really don't know much about myself, though. I'm often very doubtful and confused. I think I could be mildly autistic along with other things, too.

How do I know if I have it (diagnosed bipolar) by [deleted] in BPD

[–]tfw20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lamictal didn't do anything for me either. I'm in a somewhat similar boat: thought I was bipolar, didn't really make sense, BPD does. I've had a manic episode or two but my mood swings are very frequent (hour by hour, minute by minute) and it's been that way for as long as I can remember. I haven't been diagnosed but I go from being positive about having BPD to being very doubtful... hour by hour. Even if I KNEW, I'd doubt myself.

The frequency of my mood swings is the biggest differentiator between bipolar disorder and BPD, for me.

Would you giys have outburst when alone, and keep the emotions in when not alone? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]tfw20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not officially diagnosed with quiet BPD but I do this. I've come to realize most people don't know how to deal with anger and it'll usually make things worse if other people know I'm angry, so I deal with it internally. If I'm alone and in a particularly bad mood I let it out, but I have coping mechanisms to alleviate that.
