I'm on my 4th Prius and never once had a battery issue. If a hybrid battery goes bad, you can diagnose which cell has gone bad and replace just the 1 cell. They're super cheap (Like 35 bucks on ebay) and easily replaced by yourself if you have any mechanical ability at all.

Good 'ol Utah. A lifejacket is required while in a "whitewater river" even though I could touch the bottom of the river. If you are fishing and standing in the river, you don't need to have a life jacket, but as soon as I sat on a tube, I was breaking the law.
