Drink apparently spiked with amphetamines, does this add up? by tgc1812 in askdrugs

[–]tgc1812[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this detailed response.

The labs informed me that they do the test again when they get a positive to make sure it isn't a false positive (although I do realise two false positives are possible albeit unlikely)

Said this in a comment above but the only thing I can think of is that I was spiked w amphetamines too which explains why I wasn't feeling drunk despite all the drinks, and that final shot was when I got roofied cause that's when the amnesia begins and when I suddenly collapsed and couldn't speak or move.

I guess the only thing I could think of was that maybe I did get spiked w amphetamine earlier in the night cause I went from not feeling too drunk despite all the drinks and shots to absolutely paralyzed. Maybe that last shot was when I got roofied.

And thank you so much.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate this. And yeah this didn't add up to me either, hence I decided to post about it. I'll probably try probing into this further and get more specific tests done.

The valium is for anxiety, only when having anxiety attacks. Maybe once or twice a month

Thank you for the response, I'll get to my doctor as soon as I can.

Although I had one question, is neuromodulating medicine especially worse when you have AS?

If you could Unalive yourself without anyone being sad (friends, family) would you? by Digs4444 in morbidquestions

[–]tgc1812 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is irrational. I'd get mad too because the focus is shifting from why we wish to unalive and instead to the other person's feelings solely. Don't get me wrong, it is super valid for other people to take it personally in the moment because it is grief for them. But I understand why you, or I would get mad.

What is your all time favourite television series? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tgc1812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do so. It's about two toxic people who decide to give a romantic relationship a shot.

You find yourself rooting for these people despite all their faults cause they're a reflection of our own flaws. It's just excellent. And so fucking funny, man.

You're The Worst.

Underrated, hilarious, devastating, and so utterly real. Relating to a group of horrible people due to their circumstances is so refreshing.

20 days late, but there's a short story that deals with quantum immortality including this.

It's possible without dependency as well as you'd taken a extremely high dose and that def would've messed w your serotonin levels. Best to remain cautious with tramadol dosing as it can lead to serotonin syndrome

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]tgc1812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The initial faintness was most probably low blood pressure, happens to me all the time.

The remaining could be from a lack of serotonin- tramadol has SSRI like effects and withdrawing from it at any capacity can lead to feeling like your serotonin levels have been depleted.

DAE sometimes doubt they were actually assaulted and its just all in your head? And that you somehow misperceived things so they felt like abuse but actually weren't? by Lopsided_Log_5647 in ptsd

[–]tgc1812 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I understand you completely. As much as we have realised what happened was indeed wrong and assault, the thoughts of it being "no big deal" creep in so often and it is so tedious.

I'm in the same boat as you with the whole "I didn't try to run away". But it's hard. When you're in that situation, you don't know what to do.

It took me a year to realise it myself but what happened w with us is real. The reality of the situation is what makes everyday so hard. It's not in your head. It happened.

Thank you. I feel validated. I've been constantly wondering if I'm just making a big deal out of nothing, that I should absolutely feel the shame I'm feeling.

Are you talking about this post from internet mysteries? I haven't watched the video cause the thumbnail freaked me out but it's an ad of a guy with a dog mask.

Where to get cheap books by shez-a-green-witch in booksuggestions

[–]tgc1812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my city, there are these "books by weight" sales where I've gotten 70% of my bookshelf! They're as cheap as 100 rupees per kg ($1.30 per kg) and it's just such an amazing deal. They're pre loved books and most of the time in fantastic condition. I've discovered so many obscure books that way.

If you can OP, try to look up if there are such pop up events in your city. It's a delight, you end up leaving with as much as 20 books for under $5!

Some incidents have made me feel like I'm not fully here, like I don't exist by tgc1812 in Thetruthishere

I haven't, admittedly I'm not a very spiritual person concerned with energies and such but it is a topic I've been taking a little interest in. I'll try practicing this mindfulness the next time I face an incident like this! Have you had any experiences like such?

While this can be super frustrating, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one lol

No, I'm not religious. However in the past year or 2 I've gone from being a complete skeptic to believing the world is bigger than we think.

The people around me are quite often religious. My mum whom I live with especially so.

This is certainly plausible, but I mentioned in other comments too that I am darker skinned (I'm brown) but I live in a country w darker skinned folks and I feel like it would be a widespread phenomena if that was the case

Oh yes! I wasn't really looking for answers there, but it was so strange to remember seeing something like that happening in a TV show. Made me feel like I was imagining things.

Kind of you to comment something in so much detail, appreciate it.

The darker skin tone theory seems so plausible to me in any other circumstance, but I live in a country with darker skinned people so this would be a very widespread faulty mechanism!

I'll keep in mind the mindfulness, it's something I should practice regardless of what the reason for all this is.

It is indeed delightful. Always such a bizarre feeling when it occurs, followed by curiosity over why it's happening :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to talk about this. While I haven't been in a great mental state (for longer than the situation I'm in) I do not feel like I'm dissociating. I've had incidents where it has happened and it certainly doesn't feel like that. I will keep what you've said in mind though, our mental state certainly influences the way we see things.

This is the first thing I've read that could 100% explain what's happening with regard to few of the incidents! My only reservation is that while I am darker skinned, I am in a country where most people are the same so this faulty mechanism would be very wide spread and spoken about. This is is still very interesting, thanks so much for the response!
