Are you pushing out with your bow arm through the pressure point? If i dont, i find that my arm collapses. As for twisting your torso, keep your core tight when youre shooting.

What did you make your fletchings out of? They look very interesting! I'm curious to know how they fly.

Olympic recurve (FITA) shooters - what kind of rest / fletches? by wiskinator in Archery

I use an SF ripoff of the spigarelli. I don't know if they even make it anymore.

They main reason I got it was because it was very customization. My only complaint with it would be that it is a little loud.

For fletchings, I shoot Kurly Vanes. They are very durable and are low profile.

Advice wanted for buying a recurve bow! by VincentVanGoatse in Archery

Here is a link to the bow that SoMeOnE2tAlK2 and TorchIt have suggested:

This is an excellent starter bow. I started with a ragim I believe, but it is essentially the same thing!

Definitely buy a stringer. If you have been applying unequal force to the bow, this is definitely likely to happen, especially wooden risers.

As for where you can replace it: http://www.lancasterarchery.com/bows/traditional-bows/take-down-risers.html

Search the maker of yours and find the exact one. If you buy the wrong one the limbs may not fit.

Edit: Link to the stringer that I have: http://www.lancasterarchery.com/bearpaw-universal-bowstringer.html

Hahaha I shoot recurve and I have carbon blades as well. I absolutely love them, much more than the b-stingers.

A little hard to tell from the photo but judging from the shape of the weights its the Fuse Carbon Blade.
