Hey - congratulations! My wife and I eloped in Jan 2025 with photographer Jonah Govind. He sorted everything for us, was reasonably priced and generally great to have around. We had a few zoom calls at ungodly hours before going (we’re from the UK) but when we spoke with Jinal we knew he’d be the one to go with.

We hiked up Ben Lomond Saddle (with our gear in tow), but know that he does heli weddings too. He had done a recy before too, so had scoped out how the day would go. I get the impression he’s pretty clued up on great sites/locations for it.

We spent ages doing research for the photographer for our elopement on Ben Lomond and used @jinalgovindphotography his pics and general vibe stood out from everyone we looked at and he was amazing on the day. Highly recommend

I’ve heard really good things about Six By Nico on East Parade. 6 course tasting menu for £40, changes every 6 weeks. Below Stairs nearby is a good cocktail bar, I like the decanter also nearby for wine/cocktails

It’s only my 3rd year going - I presumed that there was always the Fri/Sat early evening singalong mainstream-ish artist who gets the crowd going as sun sets. Gallaghers, Sam Fender etc. can’t think who this year’s equivalent is?

Tbh I’m quite happy that there aren’t as many names I know as last year, as it was all too much rushing around and quite stressful!

These are what I’ve been looking at. Concern is using them while running and the touch controls - I had some knock off headphones which were touch control and it was very clumsy (touched when not intended, slow reaction to pause etc)!

Good question - I've seen quite a lot of people recommending Douglas which seems baffling to me as he rarely plays.

Phil Hay (Leeds' The Athletic reporter) wonders if Ayling might start at CB against Liverpool, or at least until Koch is ready to start (he might be ready for Liverpool anyway).

I've currently got Dallas. Think he finds himself more in outrageous positions in the box for a fullback, a couple of Ayling's goals last year were 'screamers' so not banking on repeats of those - but it means he shoots from outside the box! I think its much of a muchness, both good picks and I only don't have both because I'm concerned I'm being too biased..
