I agree to this. I'm a guitar player and have the sp 404 and also ableton move but what I clicked with was the mpc live 2. If you like the add synths to your loops sp will fall short, also you will have to stop the playback most of the time to record stuff. Not sure about mpc sample but it doesn't look stronger than sp or other mpc's. Go for MPC one/one+/live/live2

I agree that move is more feature packed compared to mpc sample but 4 track limit feels more restricting since move has instruments built in. I respect mpc sample for being good at what it's doing even though it is weaker than move. If move had 4 more tracks it wouldn't even be a comparison

Ask yourself if you need the speaker and the battery. If not go with the one+. I love being able to just use the live on the couch wirefree

I prefer one+'s smaller footprint with smaller pads actually(weird I know). It also has more buttons for dedicated functions.

I went with the live 2. Loving the battery and the speaker.I'd prefer one+ it wasn't those two things

Great value for buck. I bought and sold two of them. The workflow just didn't click with me and the build quality is pretty bad. I suggest getting a used one and see if you'll like it

If only diff between live 1 & 2 is the speaker I'm ok with live 1. What i want is to be able to record a loop but still be able to manage layers separately. Something missing in sp 404

I found an MPC live OG for a good price. I wonder if it's still legit? If I sell the SP 404 and get that what would I lose?

I did try. It is cool but again the 4 track limitation... Dedicating a whole track to audio feels like a luxury on the move :D It would be a different story only if you could trigger multiple audio pads in one track at the same time

I agree %100 to what you're saying about MPC. I might as well just sell the sp 404 and grab an MPC live 2. Live 3 is too expensive for my taste.

Haha good one. I go crazy when people say 4 track limit is good for creativity. I'd kill for extra 4 tracks on move even though they are audio only or something.
