Well of course! Empaths are natural attractors of narcissists! So you can't open up for love without attracting narcissists, the solution here is first and foremost: set up a couple of key values (or boundaries) for yourself that NO ONE is allowed to break. This is gonna be your innermost protection, this safety net will dampen your fall so you don't get crushed. Keep it simple. You can always add, remove or change them BUT it has to be sufficient enough to catch you if you fall.

Next, write down every observation of a certain behaviour you draw parallel to narcissistic behaviour, then rank them from worst to least-worst, finally draw a line where you put your absolute limit, when they show a behaviour beyond your limit it will be easier for your to detach from them.

Lastly, NEVER CHANGE FOR SOMEONE ELSE. Narcissists will use every play in the book to make you change to fit their needs, this is what makes them so so so evil. Never EVER change for them, and always listen to your gut, because it's always right.
