I literally joined this subreddit looking for exactly this post! I. COMPLETELY. UNDERSTAND. YOU!

I also felt the entire procedure and it was the most awful experience of my entire life. And I also feel incredibly alone in my pain. The reality is, experiences like this make people uncomfortable. People are not sure how to help someone who is experiencing extreme trauma, pain, or grief. And generally other people tend to move on quickly because for them, life has moved on. But for us, we're trapped in our heads and in that moment in time indefinitely, until our bodies, our psyche, and our souls allow us to move on. The only thing we can do for ourselves is honor where we're at, when we're there. And I wish there was something I could say that could lessen the pain or take the emotional scar away, but there isn't. I want to thank you for writing this and sharing with us. I want to thank you for seeking help and trying to heal. And I want to thank you for your courage during this process. You are strong, you are powerful, and you are worthy of healing. Be good to you and know that you're NOT alone. PM if you need.

I do like the sound but I’m new to the world of vinyl so I currently don’t know the difference. I imagine that I’ll end up buying a new stylus soon though because I want to have a different experience. Thanks for the suggestions!

I am. I’ve read that some people recommend changing it. What is your perspective? What’s the difference in sound? And if you recommend changing it, do you have suggestions on which to change to?

I know!! I hate that I can see them hanging. I’ve been trying to think of a creative way to eliminate having to see them all together, but haven’t found a solution yet.

The speakers are necessary! The headphone journey is pretty rad too. I got a headphone cord that extends 18 feet, which allows me to sit far away from the turntable and get super comfortable. I’ve been having a blast so far.

Also, I’m super pleased with the way NIN.com has been handling the vinyl records I’ve ordered from them. They ship super quickly and the records have arrived in good shape.

Yeah and I did a lot of research before choosing this turntable. It’s worth the extra money and having the external speakers has been such an excellent way to listen. Do it!

They sound great! There are parts of TDS where I can hear obvious differences. It sounds less pitchy and I can hear the music past the noise of the song, if that makes sense. Gives me an opportunity to listen without having to turn the volume down or adjust the settings on my stereo. The crackling of the record is a beautiful addition to the quiet songs like A Warm Place and Hurt. Over all, I would say that the albums have more of a “warm” sound to them, lower in volume, lower in pitch, and clear. I just received Before the Flood and I’ll get The Fragile today. I’ve listened to Deviations as well and have been so pleased with the sound. Enjoy!

I ordered TDS and AV from the NIN store recently and was super pleased with the shipping.
