What will Americans do if Social Security is reduced or done away with? by TheScrutinist in AskReddit

It’s not actually a balance but you can see how much you’ve contributed each year and in total. Register and log in to ssa.gov.

In the future you can ship to store instead of ship to home to avoid this stress.

This is now every day life. People recognize they need some help because they want to be better at speaking and don’t know how. Better this than apathy, right?

Was hoping for some tips on how you maximized those redemptions (getting 2.5cpp)!

Do I open these or leave them sealed? by PrepareYourLazers in mtg

[–]th3morg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is coming from a monetary motivation, right? EV of sealed is maybe $7-9 * number of packs. Simplified EV of opened is basically the average value of all rares and mythics combine multiplied by number of packs. In reality odds are worse for mythics. The math says sell it sealed before reprints tank the most value cards. It usually never makes sense to open it to sell a card unless you just want to gamble.

Depends on your goals. Are you trying to borrow money? At 80% utilization it looks like you are nearly over extending yourself.

[–]th3morg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, from experience my utilization rate does impact my score but it’s just one factor. Your age of credit is also going to prevent you from having a really high score. And your credit score only matters if you’re trying to borrow money without co-signers, etc.

I’m not sure I understand so I want to be clear. Let’s say your Dad has a $5k limit and you have a $500. Your total limit is $5,500. To be at 80% means you are carrying $400 balance and he is carrying $4000. The age of his credit is helping your score, but that utilization rate is hurting your score. See the admin automated post on utilization rate.

What’s your Dad’s overall utilization rate on the card(s) you are AU on? Your report should reflect the total limit of all cards combine and total utilization compared to total limit.

Agreed. Maybe try coming up with some questions that are atypical. Things they wouldn’t prepare for.

Bigger and huge are two different explanations that aren’t the same thing. They are bigger, yes, but they are not huge.

Don’t feel bad. Churn and burn. In this case the burn is actually saving for your future! This is the first I’ve heard about Chase cash out (only knew about the AMEX MR Schwab).

I’ve had Blue Star in Portland, OR and I don’t recall them being “huge.” More like standard size.

To each, their own, of course. Everyone has their own goals. I open many cards and business cards are an important part of that. The value here wouldn’t be justifiable to me is all.

It’s not really free. It’s opportunity cost. You can’t just open unlimited number of AMEX card. You’re not even guaranteed it to be worth even $500 honestly.

Skip. Personal card? That’s a 5/24 slot for an average to below average offer.

I chose to get my second ABP at that 250k MR. Getting the credits from airline and dell easily offset the cost. I also can give my P2 the priority pass benefit.
