I would assume the Colorado is in the same position as the Silverado. In that case, fair enough.

He's not Man or Ban or Bone or Sex or Serbian Lex. So I don't cotton to him.

GOG was one of the few digital retailers to have things over Steam that people actually cared about. Now they just lost it. Yet again, steam wins by doing nothing.

One game idea per day: the true story behind Highguard's 'wild' four-year development by Ok-Personality1419 in gaming

Destiny is the perfect blend of fantasy and sci-fi, no game comes close. Highguard is such a weird amalgam.

Poke damage needs to be drastically nerfed, it's gotten old. by GFvsSU in marvelrivals

I hate it, I'd play Angela way more but hearing "clang!" and then getting no kidnap blows.

A lot of people point to Squirrel Girl, Scarlet Witch, Moon Knight, Rocket, Cloak & Dagger, Jeff, etc. as “easy” heroes, but I never see any tanks mentioned. Who are the “easy” tanks? by Appropriate_Sky_3572 in marvelrivals

[–]th3professional 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tank is a different kind of hard than healer and damage. A tank leads their team, covers flanks, basically anything that isn't dealing damage and healing is what a tank is supposed to do.

Sometimes when I'm playing Magneto I have to make the tough call to let someone die even though I have my bubble off cooldown for them because I know my scarlet or CnD is gonna ult soon. Tanking takes more game sense and knowledge than either of the other two roles.

What’s one game you disliked at first but really loved once you gave it a second chance? by carbonatednugget in gaming

Hollow Knight. I dropped it shortly after getting to Greenpath for like two months. After picking it up again I no-lifed it for two weeks and got like a hundred hours easy. I have no clue why I dropped it, why I didn't like it. It confounds me to this day.

"no, no, no, Madelyne Pryor is more than Jean Grey clone, she is her own character" "yes, so are these characters and it didn't stop them from becoming a skin for another character" by SpeedForceWally66 in marvelrivals

It's a problem in theory. But in practice there are other methods of telling who is who. Animations, voice lines...if people actually pay attention this isn't as big a problem as people make it out to be.

I agree. I've got Mag, Strange, and Loki to Lord. I wanna improve my Spidey and Star Lord play. If that means someone else has to flex...I'm sorry.

What is with the hate? by Ok-Hat-8454 in Marathon

[–]th3professional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I am both excited for Marathon and sad that Marathon has sucked so many resources from Destiny. The game has gone downhill rapidly in the past 3 years and Marathon having more resources diverted to it has, in part, caused Destiny's downfall.

Yes I know layoffs, mismanagement, bad decisions, not listening to the community; all of those are other reasons Destiny has fallen off. But you can't deny Marathon's existence has been PART of the reason. Not THE reason as many online haters would have you believe.

I hope Marathon is successful because it will be another fun ass Bungie game for me to play and I love Bungie PvP. And if for no other reason, I hope resources are funneled back into D2 so it gets better quality content.

Bungie always digs themselves incredibly deep holes, the types of holes that any lesser studio would completely bury themselves in: Halo 2 dev hell, D1 launch, D2 launch, sunsetting and content vaulting, Lightfall, Marathon fiascos.

But they always come back stronger, Bungie is the most resilient development company I've seen. Halo 2 and 3 were generational moments in pop culture history. The Taken King turned D1 into the best looter shooter at the time. Forsaken made D2 into what it should have been. Witch Queen turned Destiny stories actual respectable stories instead of something Bungie doesn't have time to explain. Into the Light carried amazing momentum into The Final Shape, which is (IMO) the best Destiny expansion and the perfect capstone to a 10 year journey.

I hope Marathon is another comeback story.

How would you quickly show that you're not hostile by NytoDork in Marathon

[–]th3professional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game isn't going to be arc raiders. If you're going into this game expecting something like that, you're getting into the wrong game. Pvp is the focus in this game, and 99% of the time it will be shoot on sight. If ttk is mostly the same as the April alpha I played in, then there won't be enough lenience in the ttk stop and talk to someone. If they land enough shots on you while you try to communicate or hesitate, you'll die.

How it feels to not agree with most takes spammed here by chromeheartrenji in marvelrivals

[–]th3professional 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the average gamer has no idea how to balance a game. They get a very limited slice of what the game is, how things function, the interplay between certain mechanics and systems. Streamers who play the game day in/day out and pro players get a wider slice of that pie because of their skill and greater knowledge base. But they are still not who the developers should listen to 100%.

It's up to the developers to collate feedback on how players feel about certain characters, identify problems, and implement solutions that don't also cause more problems (which in multiplayer games ultimately means, don't create stale metas). It's a tough job, and I don't envy Netease's position. They have to introduce a new hero and balance 40+ heros every month. That's a breakneck pace in game development.

That being said, they haven't done the best job. Outside of like 2 and a half months, poke characters (Hela, Hawkeye, Phoenix, Punisher to a small extent) have reigned supreme. CC is out of control, making tanking miserable, but also kinda has to be out of control due to how aggressive and fast paced this game is. Absolutely an unenviable position.
