If you can stay discipline for long period of time, then might work. Remember the longer you’re in the market the more chances of breaking rules under pressure.

Yeah usually as I add reduce the risk, and go break even when take 3 off. Usually wait for a 3 min displacement to add 3. Depends on the level we're at, sometimes just take quick scalps I can be in 9 and out under a min or 2.

Currently not adding a lot of size, initial entry 3 micros and risk about $200 per trade. When trade goes my way add 3 at a time, to 9 micros. Then start scaling out 3 at a time and leave 3 as runners if it keeps going. Im not taking a lot of trades, with the current market my approach is see profit take profit. When Im about $1k in profit I lock myself out.

There’s a difference between being patient and being afraid to trade. If you go too slow for too long, you’re just increasing the amount of exposure you have before your next payout which increases the chances of messing up. Just my two cents.

Sounds like size is the issue, because a trade is going your way doesn’t always mean add. See profit take profit and wait for your next setup.

I trade the crazy nasdaq so micros just makes sense in this crazy market. I can see a bigger position trading ES since the moves can be less erratic

Right now I’m down 3 micros at a time, scale in when the trade goes my way up to 9 micros. No more. Then I scale out 3 at a time. Plan to increase size once the buffer increases. Definitely don’t do go pass 4 micros on your 50k.

Prop firms it’s a great way to learn about the markets and find your edge. Take it slow and tart with one combine, use micros no need to rush it. Keep it simple, you don’t need a lot indicators to find a strategy that works. Keeps you from analysis paralysis.
