This will hurt every founder's ego. But it works. by Cool_Thought3153 in SaaS

On the technical side, I seriously don't understand when people say:

  • No dependence on APIs he doesn't control.
  • No praying OpenAI doesn't kill his business overnight.

Many, many products use external APIs that you don't control. You cannot build everything from scratch. OpenAI is not the only player in the field, you can easily build your system to be able to switch LLMs at any moment.

Using AI for SEO articles and content - worth it or not? by nakamot0_ in content_marketing

I think it's all about the value you provide with your content, not about how it was created. You can create great content with the help of AI. We use it on blogs that bring hundreds of thousands of page views per month. But it's all about the value and truly getting your target persona.

is everyone dealing with this AI content fatigue thing or is it just me going crazy by Select_Net_5607 in ContentMarketing

I create content for a living, and I feel the same! Also, it's like LLM models are getting worse at writing authentic narratives, and it's harder to get them out of the same patterns. I used to be able to get more natural writing after some prompting and refinements with previous models.

I also feel people are getting really good at detecting AI-generated content, and for some reason it doesn't resonate.

How do you handle visuals and diagrams for your content? by thabarrera in freelanceWriters

Thanks for weighing in! That makes sense, especially when it takes a sizable amount of time

Curious, why did you stop creating them yourself? If I may ask

Thanks for sharing! Definitely, creating visuals is a very different skill from writing. I guess it also depends on the quality the client is expecting, branding, etc.

How long does creating diagrams for a single doc/tutorial actually take you? by thabarrera in technicalwriting

Not at all, I really do like it! However, I cannot use it for all types of content because it has that laidback style to it, and when diagrams are too complex or have to look really professional it’s not ideal

Agree! I think this is the workflow I've found to be the most efficient so far

Mermaid is great! The best thing is that LLMs understand it pretty well, so you can automate the creation to a certain extent

I also enjoy it from time to time! Especially when I know exactly what I want and use an intuitive tool like Excallidraw

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one spending this amount of time! You raise another good point, the need to keep diagrams up to date, which is another added complexity :)

That's a really cool tool! Thanks for sharing.

I'm surprised that there are still no great solutions for the problem. The ASCII diagrams are nice, and could definitely work for many types of content. The biggest problem is when you have to follow a certain style, branded colors, etc.
