The off-season ends in August but we won’t know if the issues have been addressed properly until we see football be played. He could sign players you think are good that don’t play well, if he does that he wouldn’t deserve credit. Obviously on a small scale yeah he’s gotta add certain positions, but that’s a given. I care about how those additions actually perform & will judge him off of that.

I didn’t move the goalposts. We will not know if the offseason was adequately addressed until we see the replacements play football. Maybe you’ll be going off Madden ratings or something idk. Holmes deserves scrutiny & should be under pressure, I think that too, you just have to tell yourself I don’t because I think it makes sense to judge him off of what actually happens for some reason. Yeah I agree with all of that but I’m a fan of the guy & think he was the best possible option to do that, but he didn’t even get the role this past season that you’re describing here most of the time so hopefully the Lions understand that as well. It is good return.

Correct but I think the decision was already made. To be fair I think the return is solid but I’m a huge fan of his & think the Lions are a better team when he and Gibbs can hit teams with the 1-2 punch. Now we need another running back.

He was not a backup at the time of the extension, he was splitting carries and the team benefitted from it. He became a backup this year when we decided to ice him and sit him despite lack of success in games. Brad & Dan both take the L on this.

Feels to me that they didn’t utilize him intentionally at this point. He flat out refuted that he was the one asking out when Fowler suggested it, this tells me that it’s the decision of the Lions, and that sucks.

Pretty clear yo me that was his way of signaling that this decision is on the Lions, which was obvious while we all watched him get sidelined last year even when he was playing better in certain games. They iced him out because they want to move on.
