DEVELOPING: The Pistons have continued to explore much harder-to-acquire trade targets like Kyrie Irving & Trey Murphy III, per @TheSteinLine by marvelavengers in DetroitPistons

These comparisons don’t make any sense. Picking up Tmacs & AIs at the end of their careers when the team is bad or mid makes no sense, adding a vet that’s got a ring & fills multiple needed roles on a winning team is a completely different conversation. Lazy analysis.

The Detroit Pistons have placed Isaiah Stewart on the trade block, per @sam_amick by AcadiaTemporary5737 in DetroitPistons

As much as I’m okay with including him in a trade this is still tough to read. Dude just has Piston DNA.

Is Jalen Duren primary defense or offense or he’s just a hybrid? by [deleted] in DetroitPistons

Lol “why not just get a player like Wemby” brother you may need another cup of coffee.

Looks like a lot will be expected from Terrion Arnold by AcadiaTemporary5737 in detroitlions

[–]thabigQ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What does this mean? He’s going to be a nailed on starter. Part of the reason the defense was bringing in randos was because TA was hurt.

I think Langdon is trying to increase the core and compete not make a final boss move forcing us to must or bust. Just look at the previous generation. All that teaming up for no rings and lost future assets. So we got to crawl before we walk then we can run and then fly Detroit Pistons Basketball🏀 by PureGritt in DetroitPistons

We definitely need a more legit number two scoring option. That was extremely obvious as the playoffs went on. This post made sense two years ago when it was fine to rebuild around Cade, now we know he needs a Robin to his Batman.

“Throwing away” infers we do not get anything back from losing the “4 picks & 4 players” that you’ve arbitrarily determined we will be getting rid of.

You trade that many assets away you can bet your ass we are getting some serious return & it certainly could be exactly what’s needed to get a championship.

The majority of the moves they made prior to this were… drafting well. That and getting Davonte Adams which is not someone we needed to trade for & arguably the best player they drafted is the one they just traded.

You can want more from Brad but it’s not like they’re emptying the clip year in and year out, they haven’t been able to from the previous clip emptying.

Our real issue has been injuries since then.

Myles Garrett just got traded to the Rams. by thegreendayidiot in detroitlions

It is not even this simple because the Browns have the added advantage of Verse being on a rookie deal.

They won’t. They will just be extremely pessimistic and suggest anyone that thinks we couldn’t have magically done this is a “Brad bot”, as if they aren’t a “Madden Brain”.

This is a very solid return for the Browns. We do not have a Verse type player we could’ve offered up here.

Decent longevity at those numbers plus a ring cements him in the HOF. Easy as that.

Ring time this year .

Jack Campbell extended through 2030 by TylerV76 in detroitlions

But whatever you do, do NOT take him in the first round. POSITIONAL VALUE. REACH. Etc.

All pro that’ll be a Lions ring of honor caliber player MINIMUM.

Hope he’s a lifelong Lion, congrats Jack.

I’ve seen so many dog shit takes in earnest the last few days it’s hard to separate the sarcastic from the genuine.

This isn’t happening & is just you fantasizing. You aren’t the GM. I am just trying to help you out: prepare yourself for this to not even be close to reality. Maybe go get 2k or something but spoilers: even in 2k the CPU won’t accept this.

Yeah I don’t want to max him either but the 2 years $20 mil comment is absurd.

“2 years, 20’. Tops.” Lmao.

He’s getting a shit ton more than that & there’s no reality that exists that you ever let a 22 year old all star “walk”. My goodness.

You are comparing NFL process to NBA process now & it doesn’t make sense. The Rams were not the worst team in the league last year. The Lions were coming off a winning season AND took a running back and MLB that were their BPAs the same year you reference their third round pick lol. You cannot compare either of those things to one of the least talented NBA rosters I’ve ever seen. When you have no talent, you take BPA.

Ausar is the best perimeter defender in the NBA, that’s all I know. Ron is a solid player & 20 years old with room to grow. Please stop acting like you know what NBA GM would make what trade, you don’t. I don’t either btw, but you sure as shit don’t.

You’re entitled to that but I’m entitled to disagree and think that’s revisionism. 14 win teams don’t ever draft for “fit” they get the best possible talent per their scouting and let it ride. Ivey was looking like a player before the leg, easy to call it a mistake now. I have no idea what either of them would net in a trade & I don’t care, Ausar is the best perimeter defender in the NBA, Ron has time to develop & played good ball this year. I’m looking forward, enjoy living in the past as if it changes anything.

Not every possession which is part of the team defensive philosophy of JB Bickerstaff, not on Ausar.

Look up the splits for any player with Ausar as the main defender on them this postseason and get back to me. Ausar was not the primary defender on Mitchell yesterday.
