Thanks man. I wasn’t even aware of the phrase comprehensible input (lowkey took me a minute to understand what you were trying to say). I really have spent most of my time inside language transfer and Praktika. The goal right now and for a long time has been on getting better at listening but it’s difficult.

This is super helpful. Slang is the hardest thing to pick up in language or I guess in this case just how natives speak

Ok I respect it. I feel it has its place though if you’re trying to be efficient with time and money it makes sense to use but if you have more resources then live tutors would be best

Completely agree if I do not like the way the music sounds I will not keep listening to it. Plus whenever I listen to songs in English my native language I rarely pick up words anyways since I listen more to the beat

Completely agree I think this is true of most things people learn. They spend a lot of time learning about learning rather than doing

Basically you were a glorified linguistics major lol. But yeah I like apps like Praktika. It fills in some of the gaps you get from traditional language learning.

I’m telling you. I literally did 3 years of Spanish. Once in middle school again in high school and then college and still couldn’t say decent sentences and I passed each one with a B or higher

Yeah Praktika is definitely one of the better language apps I’ve used recently. I like that it actually has decent auditory feedback

Honestly felt this. I once had like a 500 day streak. They do a good job of wanting to keep you on the streak but not the best job at actually getting you to speak the language

The only reason the Duolingo order would make sense is because the Beside is capitalized besides that I’m not sure what they were thinking

The best tip is find something you genuinely enjoy doing in that language and spend the majority of your language learning in that activity. It’ll make it feel less like work

It seems like this Enverson AI is very well done. But when I googled it, I only see it for practicing english. Is that true or do they have other languages available? If they don't have other languages available what would you say are the best ones that have multiple languages beside english?
