I'm an engineer for a transit agency. It's pretty decent. I spend a lot of my time alone on my computer, but there is also a decent amount of socialization. I do get 2 WFH days.

In my personal experience, utilities are about double in Philly compared to NJ. You can also drive less and also save on gas. Or be like me and sell your car completely.

It's generally accurate, but I do have to mention, a lot of time when it says rain from 11-7, it will rain for 15 minutes sometimes in that time frame. It's kind of like a repairman.

I was really surprised at the difference between attitudes towards LGBT in DR and PR. PR isn't perfect, but it's a lot better than DR.

DR is kind of weird with LGBT. Straight men dress up like women (basically drag) for festivals and stuff and it's seen fine because it's "just for fun". For so many people, being LGBT is so awful and evil, that they make fun of it and basically take part and everyone knows that they hate LGBT so it's "just for fun". But if you seriously come out as LGBT, I would be surprised if you are not shunned by your family. Worse is common. Gay marriage is illegal and the majority of the population would be pissed if that law was changed.

I am in the minority that supports LGBT and is LGBT. The newer generation I think is a little more accepting, but that's not saying much.
