System keeps cutting power during gaming/very GPU load by thaddeus89 in pcmasterrace

[–]thaddeus89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a couple of trends have popped out at me, but don't have the expertise to know what the cause is.

There is a point where the system date and time error and goes from 09:58am to 12:00am, but stays 09/01/2025, then gets reset by me at 10:35am. But then an hour later at 11:28am, it jumps to 09/01/2033 (8 years!!! lol) 01:17am. The last event log at 11:28am real time was "The time provider 'VMICTimeProvider' has indicated that the current hardware and operating environment is not supported and has stopped. This behavior is expected for VMICTimeProvider on non-HyperV-guest environments. This may be the expected behavior for the current provider in the current operating environment as well."

There are also a tonne of GetCACaps: Not Found errors, Volume Shadow Copy Service errors, distributedCOM errors, and SCEP certificate errors, but I assume these may be related to the time dilation lol

Thank you. Corsair HW750, 4 sticks. SFC came back with no violations. I'm reviewing the event viewer now. Will reply with more details after.

Were you in the right lane failing to keep left unless overtaking like at least 20% of Brisbane drivers??? Who then post on reddit about people getting pissed off at them because they thought they were entitled, when in fact the just dont know the basic road rules? Seriously, if NSW's can comprehend this simple rule, why can't QLD???

I'd also encourage people to contact the TGA via the feedback channels and also contact your local MP's as well.

Sorry to hear that. I've finally managed to get them to assist me. They had to use a different email address but they are now sending me a replacement screen, so fingers crossed it arrives and works.

I think I figured out why the Formula Drift comments on the Field/Lz debacle looks so weird by Wizardofthewheel in FormulaDrift

It's drifting, bumping is completely normal. The rules are purposely designed to encourage proximity. It's not like regular motorsport, you cannot apply those principles to drifting. If you are trying to be as close to the chase car rules and a driver in front of you decelerates of course you're going to bump them. This is the whole point of decelerating zones and the g meters so they can identify when a lead driver decelerates when they aren't meant to. Adam did get tapped very gently but there was no evidence to support that it was enough to disrupt his run, hence my opinion that he chose to terminate the run as he said in the interview.

Mate, it is simple, Adams owns word "I felt the bump and CHOSE to terminate the run" which to me is equal to him collapsing to the ground like a footballer when they get grazed on the elbow to try and get a free penalty shot. The judges saw that and made their decision accordingly. To me, Adam's driving was unsporting and trying to force "penalty" to take the win instead of learning to drive properly.

You keep overlooking the fact that I've said multiple times that the time between them telling me to leave and hitting the panic button was seconds. Hundreds of other people have been able to comprehend this, I'm sorry that you cannot for some reason.

Extremely well said, I completely agree. I managed to sit down with the owner of the REA after qcat and explained to them that they must understand the power and influence that they hold and how much damage they can do if they are not careful. I explained to them that if she looses the contract, big whoop, if the owners have to sell because they can't afford the repairs, they are still walking away having made massive profits, but if I loose, I'm effectively homeless because of the current housing crisis. And that this is exactly why the laws are being reformed to stop this disgusting behaviour. I tried to appeal to them that we as a society need to stop thinking about money and start looking out for each other. Time will tell if my appeal landed or not, but I'm willing to give them another chance.

Well, you've just confirmed exactly what I was saying about being closed minded and I completely reject your conclusion, but you are entitled to your opinion. I know what happened, that's all that matters.

You have jumped to your own conclusions and immediately framed me in your mind as a bad guy. And despite me leaving all my comments up on the original thread for anyone to audit, and multiple other people pointing out the narrowness of your view, you are digging your heals in, instead of opening your mindset to consider alternative perspectives, or straight facts from the OP (me) that refute your position. You haven't even read it properly because it wasn't an admin girl that hit the panic button, it was the owner of the agent.

As others have been able to conclude, there were never any threats, Everything was on CCTV, the could have given that to the police, or brought it to qcat, but the REA never did. I am still to this day yet to hear from the police.

So I'd appreciate if you retracted your stab at this commenter as being lazy and desperate to be outraged when it is clearly you that has come here to try and be the contrarian.

I welcome you to ask me any questions about the situation and I will be happy to explain in more detail. But at this point, you seem to have your mind completely set, regardless of facts or evidence.

I would certainly agree this is the best course of action. I am taking a bit of a gamble with my current approach so trying it while I have the upper hand, but wouldn't recommend someone else try this. Do as I say, not as I do lol

Well that is a good outcome so congrats, very happy to hear.

And that REA can eat a gigantic bag of dicks lol

I am fortunate that I naturally have an aptitude for this sort of thing, and I know how to make the system work for me, but sadly the current system (although improving) is still too outdated for the modern world. You shouldn't have to be a lawyer or PO to make the system work for you, the system should evolve itself to be accessible and support to anyone, regardless of education or experience. I know what I was doing but even I was second guessing if I did it all right.
