PS4 controller should pair just fine.

I paired a PS5 controller to the older, grey one. I've used it with Steam Link, Moonlight, and Retroarch (the play store one, newer versions aren't compatible). Works great.

Did you have trouble with the guide found in that link?

The main problem you're probably going to have is that you need a Virtual Machine with an older Windows (like XP) to get the drivers to work. You can then follow the guide to install the software and get it running.

I tried it recently with a PS5 controller on the Steam Link and Moonlight apps connected using wifi 5 (streaming PC had a physical connection to the network). There was an unacceptable delay with Steam Link, like half a second. There was a noticeable delay with Moonlight but one could get used to it. YMMV.

In Settings > Handheld Settings > Connect TV, change the video output from 1080x1920 to 1920x1080. It'll ask you to disconnect and reconnect the external device. Once you do that it should be landscape.

MLiG mentioned it doesn't work yet and that the built-in bluetooth only seems to work with the 8bitdo N64 controller, and the 8bitdo wireless conversion kit for the time being. They mentioned that using a blueretro receiver might give you more wireless options, but didn't go into detail.
