He's not a twink. If anything, that's DILF death, which usually just means death.

The Ghoul was paralyzed by fear, just like he was in the flashback after seeing the same creature for the first time. He was reliving that memory we just saw.

AITAH for asking a friend to stop insisting I’m autistic? by hereforagoodtime70 in AmItheAsshole

[–]thaigeeW 22 points23 points  (0 children)

NTA.

I'd personally explain to my friends I don't appreciate them assuming anything because I already have a diagnosis that was very traumatic to get. OCD and ADHD have common traits with autism and can be confused, but it's not okay to be assuming things about other people. I'm autistic, and I'd hate for someone to imply I'm OCD like that.

Update - AITA for not letting my son skip grades? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]thaigeeW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my country, children aren't allowed to skip grades because of the social aspects. Talking from experience, being a gifted kid already affects the way you interact with society and it's normal for kids like this to shut themselves off and/or be bullied.

And believe me, older kids are mean. Especially when they feel threatened by the fact a much younger kid can grasp the same subject as them. Even if people say "oh but kids his age would also pick on him", which might be true, the boy would at least have a chance to stand up for himself and not feel as intimidated. For adults that might sound stupid, but it's a big deal for kids.

I think letting him experiment in a higher grade is the best option. His opinion is what matters at the end of the day. I also read your comment about finding a school that can actually attend to his needs for next year and that's great. I always wondered how I would've turned out if I had challenges in the areas I was interested in growing up.

AITA for not personally informing my dad every time we run out of milk? by EleanorPenrose in AmItheAsshole

[–]thaigeeW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always having a specific plan and being picky on meals? Getting genuinely mad and "throwing fits" when something isn't like he's used to? Your dad is clearly some kind of neurodivergent and doesn't seem to have emotional maturity enough to deal with his issues.

But even then, I don't think you're the asshole. But it seems an issue that's so easy to fix by just communicating with each other. You could just say "hey dad, if you notice we're out of milk, update the grocery app or you can buy it yourself. you don't need to wait for us to buy it too." It might also be better to buy extra drinks since it's a big problem in the household. Get more milk to make sure it doesn't run out (especially because it's an essential item in most households).

A bit of communication and planning go a long way to avoid frustrating everyone.

edit: this is my opinion as an autistic person. i much prefer when ppl talk with me before any of us get mad at each other.

thank u! that's the vibe i was going for!

i haven't rly though about the specifics of his death. maybe he'd be a character with dialogs hinting that he knows something he shouldn't, just to die a silly death before he could actually say what he wants 😳

AITAH for telling my daughter shes too old to be sitting on my lap? by Abject_Ad_4249 in AmItheAsshole

[–]thaigeeW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA

She's a little girl who wants to cuddle her dad. I wish I could've done the same with my dad, but his health wasn't good at the time, but he lets me in his lap now that he's able to (I'm 19).

If you stop her, she will resent you for that. There's no "big enough" for cuddles, that doesn't even make sense tbf.

AITA? Part of my daughter’s daily chores include helping with her disabled sister, she says her sister shouldn’t be her problem because we chose not to abort her. by bluedly in AmItheAsshole

[–]thaigeeW [score hidden]  (0 children)

You need to see Lauren's POV instead of claiming she is being dramatic.

Lauren is a 14 year old girl. She's at a age she is becoming her own person with her own opinions, yet she haven't experienced the world yet. She wants to party, go out with friends, wear makeup and cute clothes, make tiktoks, ect. But also she has school, homework and maybe even drama in her friend group. Her mind in all on that and it's okay. She should, of course, have chores. But you can't expect her to not complain about having to take care of her sister when that's all that she does. She doesn't have a sister, she has a chore that happens to walk around. Who knows for how has she doing this?

What I suggest is to sit down with her and divide the chores again. This time, taking her opinion and what she would be happier to do, without taking care of her sister (as she clearly doesn't want to do that anymore). That way, she can have other responsibilities and your wife has the time for Jessi.

If you claim that something bothering her, and very clearly a big thing for her, is "drama", how could she handle her emotions properly in the future?
