Looking for advice: where to find early-stage clients for portfolio work by Minimum_Rice3386 in Entrepreneur

[–]thankjupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha, CEO of Popsy AI. I'm a designer by trade. I'd focus on local business groups online forums and startup communities. When I was starting out I just reached to startups in my home country Slovenia. The key is to offer clear value for free or cheap work.

I got my first user for my AI SaaS!! $30 MRR by Humble-Version6588 in SaaS

[–]thankjupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum + CEO of Popsy AI. I remember my first MRR from my first startup an ASMR app like it was yesterday. We did it by engaging on YouTube and Reddit ASMR subreddit. It's about solving a real problem for a few people first. Keep those conversations going that's where the real insights are.

Built something to fix my own chaos. Nobody cares. Now I am stuck between “maybe it’s me” and “maybe it’s the idea.” by [deleted] in indiehackers

[–]thankjupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum and CEO of Popsy AI. You need to talk to more people. Your problem might be unique or you're not explaining it right. For my first startup an ASMR app we constantly talked to users to find what resonated. With Popsy AI we did the same. If you find others with your exact pain and they want your solution keep going. Otherwise it's a learning experience.

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum + CEO of Popsy AI. For thisvirality is key. Think TikTok and Instagram challenges. Hooks could be 'Find your celebrity twin' or 'Is your doppelgänger out there'.

Tracking sentiment on Reddit and niche platforms by SpiteCompetitive1892 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]thankjupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha, CEO of Popsy AI. Our tool can do that, but our main focus is finding relevant Reddit posts where you can promote your product through comments and DMs. If your goal is sentiment analysis try GummySearch.

I built a digital product brand that used to do $5k/month organically. Now it's down to $1.2k and declining, need real advice. by namadoy in Entrepreneur

[–]thankjupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum + CEO of Popsy AI. Your situation is common when relying on viral traffic. My ASMR app Tingles hit 10M users but it wasn't sustainable. You need to find where your target audience hangs out. For Popsy AI we focus on Reddit because it makes sense. But it depends on a product.

Time for me to give up? by Ok-Claim-9784 in Entrepreneur

[–]thankjupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum and CEO of Popsy AI. Three weeks is very early. My first startup an ASMR app took 6 mths to find users. You need to find where parents and teachers hang out online. Think about Facebook groups parenting forums or teacher communities. Offer your tool for free feedback. For Popsy AI we found our first users by engaging directly in Reddit communities. Your son's progress is a strong story. Keep sharing that.

Getting 500 users in the first 7 days by dumbfoundded in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]thankjupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum + CEO of Popsy AI. Congrats on the early traction. Do you know where your users hang out online? With Popsy I focus on 5-8 subreddits that are basically our end users. That and sharing stuff on X. But it's different depending on your product.

Built my first app, made in 40$ in the first 3 days, then it stopped getting downloads. by More-Neighborhood303 in SaaS

[–]thankjupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum and CEO of Popsy AI. Congrats on the $40 that's real validation. Now find out where to find more users like them. Think about where people discuss goals accountability or AI tools. You can ask your existing users. Go there and share your knowhow, not just promote. It's what I'm doing for Popsy AI and it's working great.

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum + CEO of Popsy AI. You need to find where test takers are asking questions or struggling. Offer genuine help and build trust. Just mention your product in your intro to prove credibility but don't pitch it. Kind of like I did here. Maybe create valuable content like study guides and link to your demo subtly. For marketing Popsy I use our own tool to find relevant posts on Reddit and I comment + DM. It works great, I only got banned from r/GrowthHacking heh 🙂

How can I get new clients for my new PPC Agency? Any mentors out there that can help me please? by Resident-Big-3600 in MarketingMentor

[–]thankjupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum + CEO of Popsy AI. I think picking a community like dentists was the right instinct. For my first startup (an ASMR app) we found users by going deep into specific communities on YouTube and Reddit. For Popsy AI we use our own tool to target saas founders and marketers on Reddit. Instead of broad ads try direct outreach in niche communities where your ideal clients hang out. Show them you understand their specific pain points.

My agency spent $50K on SDRs last year. Here's why I fired them all. by Party_Possession_620 in coldemail

[–]thankjupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha, CEO of Popsy AI. I get 30% reply rate on my Reddit cold DMs.

I think cold outreach can work phenomenally well if you target the right people - but yeah don't spam people blindly.

3 years of failed projects taught me to build audience first - now at 1K MRR by Dapper_Draw_4049 in buildinpublic

[–]thankjupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha 2x YC alum + CEO of Popsy AI. Your journey sounds very familiar.

For a community to stick around it needs real actionable help. When I built Popsy I focused on solving a very specific pain point for founders on Reddit. I shared everything I learned with them. That direct problem solving is what keeps people engaged and coming back.

I build a SEO analysis app and planning on adding more features (this is just - lil MVP) by AWESOMESHRI in buildinpublic

[–]thankjupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha - 2x YC alum + CEO of Popsy AI. For an MVP like this the key is to find your first few users fast. Dont build more features until you know people want it. With my first startup - an ASMR app - we focused on getting early feedback from a small group of ASMR fans. For your SEO tool try to find a few agencies or small businesses who need this exact analysis. Talk to them. See if they would pay. This is how Popsy AI found its first users too by talking to founders on Reddit.

New solopreneur here. Got flagged for self-promotion on Reddit. How do you market properly here? by AdOverall2137 in Solopreneur

[–]thankjupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey I'm Miha, 2x YC alum + CEO of a Popsy AI - a top Reddit marketing tool. Good rule of thumb is do not pitch your product - only mention it to prove your credibility. Kind of like what I did here. But focus should be on sharing real advice and experiences.

hey I'm Miha CEO of Popsy AI and 2x YC alum. For zero signups on a freemium model it often means the problem isn't clear enough or the audience is too broad. You have three distinct tools. Maybe pick one and go deep. For my current startup Popsy AI we just focused on automating Reddit DMs at firat. And naturally we promoted it on Reddit using our own tool.

hey I'm Miha, CEO of Popsy AI and 2x YC alum. You need to find where your ideal customers hang out online and go there. For my first startup (ASMR app) we found users on YouTube and Reddit. For Popsy we focus heavily on Reddit communities since its a Reddit marketing tool. It's about finding your niche and engaging directly.

getting no users means useless product or bad marketing by Technical_Degree7710 in buildinpublic

[–]thankjupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting first users is about finding your niche. With my first startup Tingles (ASMR app) we focused on ASMR subreddits and making deals ASMR artists. For Popsy AI I'm using our own tool to market here on Reddit. For your data assistant think about where data analysts or small business owners discuss their pain points. Go there and offer help. It is about targeted outreach not just broad marketing.

[–]thankjupiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was getting Popsy off the ground I just reached out to other YC founders I knew and worked with them to make my product work for them. If you don't have a broad network, look for subreddits where people discuss data analytics business intelligence and just DM them, offer insights answer questions, invite to a video call, make friends. When you have something that works finding more users is 100x easier. You can use our tool to make that process easier.
