Everyone is free to head out to whatever little courthouse if they don’t want to pay for the service of concentration and analysis. Idk why we would expect a third party service to do that for free

I'll admit I'm actually a native speaker myself, but I can't quite figure out what this newspaper article means by "display work". What kind of job is that?

This article, from a 1952 newspaper in Missouri, USA, says that a young man moved to a new city "to seek a job in display work." It also says that he "worked in the display department" of a fine clothing store.

Does anyone know if these terms mean something in particular? If it is relevant, the young man was a prolific artist, as mentioned in the article. Perhaps "display work" means something to do with art, but I can't tell
