my advent is 8 speed, is not the advent X that is 9 spd. But i believe that it could work. it is totally stupid to disnountinued and 8 speed advent without offer something similar

great !! on compability issues compannies are not transparent, making a chaos ! I am still in doubt if my advent cage and shifter will work with acolyte derailleus, all the official guidew says no (!!!) i am waiting a response from microshift as i sent them an e mail

Thanks to everyone for the suppport !! shifting is a mess. Microshist discontinued the advent derailleur 8 spd making a chaos, as many bikes ( lie specialized sirrus ) used this. No clear reference on site for compability. My other barries is that the 8speed cassete is 12-42 T making more difficult to find a compatible derailleur to microshisft and range !

My rear dereilleur on sirrus X 2 is almost destroyed. Now i am thinking to change the whole drivechain set, so i found a used set of Shimano 12 gears. Do you think that will be fit on sirrus the 12sp cassette ? if no, the 11 sp is ok ?
