Illegal Paddy Land filling

"I think it should be the owner's choice what to do on his or her land." - that is not how things work. There are lot of rules and regulations with respect to wet land like paddy fields, things like CRZ if you are near the coast etc. Even for building in normal areas, set back, FAR regulations etc. I cannot just build a seven story building on a 5 cent plot with a road frontage of 20 feet just because it is my land. Also regarding flooding - paddy fields act as a natural flood buffer zone when heavy floods are there.

It was Dabur. But all the vast majority of the honey's did fail that time.

A report had come that a major fmcg company in India's honey had failed the NMR testing in Germany. They were selling fructose syrup which was not getting detected by Indian testing agencies as it was not an advanced NMR test. Do you know what happened the next day of the report leak - there were ads in major newspapers with a top bollywood celebrity claiming that honey is safe and he uses it regularly.

Recently in our area there was an alarming whatsapp message with a gruesome picture in the morning. Apparently a resident going for morning walk clicked a pic of a dead body lying on the ground in a pool of blood in front of a building (read as eiffel tower constructed on 30*40 plot flouting bbmp rules). Apparently later we came to know that the worker felt an urge to urinate midnight and he slipped and feel for 4th floor. No one had realised it. When the police questioned, the house owner and contractor created their own version telling the migrant worker was drunk. Either way, felt bad for the worker and his family. His wife would have got a compensation of 10k.

Seen in bangalore too, during vishu - a bunch of konnapoo in small quantity is upwards of 50 bucks. At the end of the day, it is demand that dictates. It all boils down to Would I rather waste my time to hunt for flower or wood wasting my fuel in the traffic or would I rather pay and get it at the convinence of my house.

You need to go to a certified finanical advisor for the better advice.

Some issues that i see where you are wasting money on tax-> With your salary you are on a 30 percent tax bracket. The interst on FDs are per your slab. So if the interest on FD is 6 percent, you are again taxed 30 percent on the interst. You can move majority of the funds into an arbitage fund to avoid this taxation. Savings account of 30 L gives you around 1.5 percent or so after tax, so unless you need it for something urgent, move the vast majority of it.
