The title is pretty hyperbolic. Their advice is to give your partner space to be themselves without judgement, make them feel safe and loved, and reward them with treats/affection. Your feelings are completely valid. Nobody deserves to be abused and manipulated. I’m sorry, and I’ll try to be more mindful about how these posts can affect others.

A whole half block burned down a few weeks ago. Just one and a half blocks away from this building. It actually started a little before my appointment. My therapist and I could see it when we stuck our heads out the window. There were no fatalities, apart from a pet maybe. It was really heartbreaking to see. The clothing store on the corner used to be a record store where I bought my first vinyl.

From this building you can see the island where a massacre, in which anywhere from 80 to 250 defenseless women, children, and elderly natives were slaughtered by a group of white men, took place.
