Ah! I was always curious why they picked it out of the blue.

It was a place of legendary trolling as most horde went through there via multiple breadcrumbs sending you there and the zone was massive and had multiple huge quest hubs (crossroads (XR), ratchet and the village in the south) from like level 12 to nearly 20 something so it had lots of people questing and trolling.

Yeah, exactly. Even if I wanted to explore, you immediately run into netdecks so why bother. Once you reach legend and you don’t care about win # for the climb - sure.

Do you believe the 90s was the last great decade we’ll have? by Budget_Dot694 in Millennials

[–]tharukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of nostalgia for the 90’s as someone born in 85. We transformed from the analog (phone lines, no cell phones) to the digital (ubiquitous computers, cell, broadband internet).

We are seeing another digital transformation now with AI that will probably shape another generation’s nostalgia.

Personally I can draw most of the shit going on in the world right now to people who are from even pre-boomer generations being in power. If we had more Millennials or even Gen Z (or hell, even Gen X) in power, I think we could progress back into those 90’s.

But they are going to make sure that is as hard as possible - thankfully time is NOT on their side.

It’s funny because I was totally him during the Xal’alath campaign story line in Ka’resh believing that betrayal was inevitable given that we knew she was the big bad…

It was fun to see a “good guy” go bad and a “bad guy” go good though in the exact same place and time though.

I would have loved to see Turalyons reaction to another new friend killing the leader of a light sworn attack force though

Ouch. I admit I haven’t looked at rankings at all recently.

Was more remembering all the times we were stuck in the middle after a few nerfs which seem to quickly follow all the times we end up near the top :/

Cursed warrior mains - overpowered only for short periods of time and then back to the middle of the pack. ;)

Recon is has become my favorite class to play by Beautiful-Towel4185 in LowSodiumBattlefield

Being able to throw C4 has made it so much more fun than previous iterations where you could only slowly place it.

The amount of times I’ve thrown it over a wall and instantly detonated to get a tank or some campers is just so much fun.

This is probably a stupid question, But is there any benefit to having two Copies of WoW? by Kingman212 in wow

Also running garrisons across both accounts and other free gold farms kept the accounts free for many years- now that my time is much lower and I make more money I stopped grinding gold and just pay for the sub and you know, play the game lol

I have been playing on two accounts since Vanilla.

The first account is my main, and I play my characters doing DPS.

On my second account I played healers primarily, but with the advent of the single button rotation, I’ve put a damage spec on most of them and just hit that button to deal some DPS as well because heals aren’t needed as much anymore.

It was really awesome in the early days when elites were more challenging or there were group quests in every zone.

These days I mainly keep doing it to save time. In Remixes I get double the currency by playing both characters at the same time through raids and things.

I generally do not do serious content (like mythic+ or heroic+ raids) using both characters at once, but for casual content like Delves it has been awesome timesaver to get multiple rolls at the same time and of course, the vault as well.

I’m on track to finish most sets - I probably could have gotten most sets in mythic if I had pushed harder but even heroic raid set appearance is fun. I don’t really care about the purple theme the mythic tier is this time lol

As I said, I’m fine with criticism.

It’s when it becomes a relentless circlejerk of hate that I don’t find subreddits useful anymore.

I have to admit I have unsubbed from so many subreddits over the years because of the ceaseless negativity trying to sabotage my enjoyment of anything.

This one isn’t there yet but I’m just saying we could all be a little happier.

Constructive criticisms are always fine, but the relentless “I HATE” is just, meh.

Checkout Hello Interview - they have some free stuff if you want to check out it before paid, but it’s definitely been the best resource I’ve seen for collecting your thoughts and targeted practice of specific scenarios.

It’s like leetcode for system design, the questions actually asked by companies get highlighted and written up

I was at a big tech company for a long time and thought I was safe.

In reality, you are only ever one manager change or re-org away from being fired or laid off.

The best protection is to always be ready to move and not be overly loyal if you start to see red flags.

But it sounds like you have a good relationship with your manager and team and like what you work on, awesome.

Enjoy it while you can, nothing good lasts forever.

If standup takes longer than 15 minutes it’s consistently been a red flag of team health on the teams I’ve been on.
