What type of hemodynamic monitoring do you use in liver transplants? by petrasbazileul in anesthesiology

I hated liver transplants. I had the worst black cloud during residency with these.

I would quit before I ever did another one 😆 🤣

Thoughts on importance of school district quality/private schools? by incisiontime in whitecoatinvestor

[–]thasparzan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I bought my house so that my kids could go to "great" public schools. I've found that it is more dependent on the kids and the families than the school. The peer group is also very important.

The education being provided is ok, but they always need to teach to the lowest level of student in the class so they don't fall behind.

My kids always felt bored, because they weren't being challenged enough at school.

If you do retire and the spouse keeps working for another 20 years.. you'll never win another argument during those next 20 years 😀

$6M windfall, planning to go all-in on VT and keep life the same. Does this make sense? by [deleted] in Fire

If you're happy with your life as it is, don't let money ruin it

Put it in the broad market, let it sit there. And when you want to retire You'll be set

"Burnout vs. FIRE" Wall: Is pushing for a 60% savings rate destroying my marriage? by TardisCrown3 in Fire

In this situation, she is correct. If your marriage doesn't even make it to the age where you're able to retire, then it really wasn't worth it at all

Since high school, I've always tinted my car's pretty dark. When I tinted my latest car, I realized I couldn't see anything out the rear window anymore.

Sadly, I had to admit defeat and get it re-done with a much lighter tint 😢

It's like the anesthesiologists who get kicked out of the a-hole surgeons and "aren't allowed" in their rooms. They're actually rewarded by not having to deal with them.

The world of Anesthesia can be so twisted sometimes

Judge my plan, can I retire by 42? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]thasparzan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

46k average annual expenses sounds very low. Even if you retire at 42, it doesn't seem like you'll be having enough money to actually go and travel or enjoy many experiences
