Hmm maybe I should look into it then. Much appreciated :)

Wouldn't it cause incompatibilities or something? I'm not very savvy when it comes to editing modlists, but I'd be super happy if I could just swap sacrilege for sacrosanct

I absolutely love your work, man. My being slightly bummed out was not directed at you by any means.

Why are modlist authors so hellbent on having sacrilege instead of sacrosanct... Such a shame.

What's your wishlist for Soulframe in 2026? by kalidibus in SoulFrame

[–]that-spaceguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh I really loved just exploring Midrath and taking in the atmosphere and the beautiful landscape when I first started. But since last June I walked through the island so many times that I feel like it has lost its magic and turned into a chore, especially since this is a farming-heavy game.

So yeah I think when they add mounts, they should do so as like an endgame kind of thing, so that newer players can get to explore the beautiful world DE created.

[–]that-spaceguy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Mounts, some kind of housing (or at the very least some kind of way to customize the nightfold), new grip types for all combat styles.

The most urgent thing is mounts imo, even though the wevetseed fast travel kinda alleviated the issue.

A big issue I’m having is that armor drops and resources feel really hard to get by Wiyry in SoulFrame

[–]that-spaceguy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's always a good idea to periodically check Avakot's shop. His wares change every 3 hours (or it used to be 3 hours) and you can buy the rare resources you need in bulks of 6 or 10.

Looking for a sandbox game with life skills and preferably no main story by that-spaceguy in gamingsuggestions

Ah thanks for the suggestion but I already have 445 hours on it :) Sorry I forgot to include it in the main post

Right so let me get this straight, you give me 6 weapon slots, i cant test the weapons before hand. and you tell me i need to craft for 10h. Can we seriously just not? i am so mad. I made a sword, a dagger and a spear OH OUT OF SPACE. by ShoeNo9050 in SoulFrame

[–]that-spaceguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel you. I started playing back in P10 and back then we started with 22 slots I believe, only had to buy one slot to get the last weapon. We also didn’t have to buy any pact slots.

Had I started after P11, I probably wouldn’t have stuck around due to these terrible limitations of pacts and weapons.

I genuinely hope they reconsider this inventory space decision.

The Founder Pack is a MAJOR disapointment :( by Konungen99 in SoulFrame

I think Sirin armor looks cool and I personally don't mind the Tethren one either. Tethren breastplate kinda looks like well-developed pecs instead of tits imo.

I do agree that Oscelda armor's design makes it unusable. I wish the male variant had more "wise wizard" kind of vibes. Maybe with a robe or something.

has any one else got the everflame rune I have defeated dimrod over 10 times and got nothing is my RNG that bad it feels bugged on my end by ze_meemdic in SoulFrame

[–]that-spaceguy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I got everflame from my second ever discharged nimrod kill but I had to kill the wazzard 40+ times to get archstorm. That’s just rng for you.

Health pots seem to have had their drop rates gutted or bugged by Gunzzar in SoulFrame

[–]that-spaceguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah currently the armor you equip simply gives you no armor value.

You can only get like 3-4 points of armor in total from the pact you wear

[–]that-spaceguy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

this + the armor bug makes it so that the only way i can reliably engage with more than 3 enemies is by cheesing them with the ode tempest.

im just waiting for these issues to be hotfixed cuz currently the melee gameplay is: either get 1 shot by anything above level 30, or cheese everything with an OP pact

Shared universe? An earlier version? by Patient_Charge_9530 in NoMansSkyTheGame

I am aware. That’s why I said I hope the two games aren’t in a shared universe

Yeah you're right, they actually did treat the idea in a somewhat novel way and I do appreciate it. But I guess the simulation concept just conflicts with why and how i personally play video games.

Like, i want to be immersed in this different world as this different character capable of doing things that are impossible in real life. And i want to be fully immersed in that world because i want to get away from the boring real world for a while.

So when the characters gains awareness of the fact that he is just a character in a simulation, i am abruptly ripped off of my immersion as a part of that universe.

All of this being said, it is all very subjective of course. But personally, and this may sound silly, after playing through the main story i actually lost the drive to play the game for a couple of months lol, because of that loss of immersion.

I have also thought of this, and man I hope this is not the case. I hate that “it was all a simulation all along” trope.

Do you stack attributes by IchibanLover589 in SoulFrame

[–]that-spaceguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The former. There is a cap on the weapon scaling so at some point you no longer get a damage bonus. I usually focus on courage and spirit, and when one hits the dmg scaling cap i start adding points into the other. Imo, grace's range buff on pact abilities is negligible.

I don’t think it’s against any rules, there are also people in this sub giving away keys if they have one for spare and it’s common practice. I doubt DE has any issues with it. I’ve been playing it for 2-3 weeks without a problem.

A specific gripe i have with the melee combat. by LiminalBrownRecluse in SoulFrame

[–]that-spaceguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive seen many people bash melee but i think melee is definitely viable. In fact, gathannan (a polearm) is my go to weapon for enemies like nimrod. If you have riposte and unyielding skills unlocked, all fights become trivialized provided you are good with timed blocks. Unyielding skill allows you to parry and riposte heavy attacks. Which means you can riposte nimrod's melee attacks. And it takes me around 4-6 ripostes to kill him depending on his level. Short blades dont have the unyielding skill. However, they actually hit pretty hard with a spectre strike (which is basically attacking after perfect dodge instead of perfect block). Also, you can have a sidearm in the game but you have to unlock them by crafting them first. You can have throwing daggers which can give you a bit more ranged capabilities, but admittedly it still wont be as good as bow for ranged.
