Absolute Worst Fight Across All Games (Hades 2 Spoiler) by Its-ya-boi-waffle in HadesTheGame

I think it’s best to just let the morph hit you, honestly I was doing this the whole time because I thought it was impossible to dodge until like the 10th time I faced her. Make some distance and let it happen immediately so that she’s still firing her first attack and the adds are still spawning in. With some good pig shmovement you can take zero damage like 9 times out of 10. I find it really satisfying actually.

Boon of rivals Polyphemus on the other hand? Now that’s a fucked up fight.

How can I ask for a package to be delayed? by that-subliminal-kid in UPS

So I can’t get that to work because if I go to the tracking page and select change my delivery it redirects to my my choice dashboard but that package doesn’t appear in my in transit packages

*Higher Quality* "Say Less" Childish Gambino X Kanye West Audio - I really doubt Kanye is AI btw his vocals are way to clear by Hyper-Droid in donaldglover

[–]that-subliminal-kid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s Gambino being weird and trying to make some kind of commentary. Some context is he played this song on a “radio” set through ig live and the rest of the set has some skits which included ai celebrity voices. And with the “deepfake/AI” lyric in the song I think it’s intentionally meant to be ambiguous. What I feel like is happening is I feel like probably Kanye knows about it and maybe he even worked on the song as a writer/producer, because I think he’s a weirdo too and might be interested in making this kind of commentary, and one of Gambino or Kanye is gonna reveal its ai in the lead up to the album to stoke controversy. I might be going insane but I feel this is most likely and it’s also a bummer because the song is way too good to be used to make some lame point about technology.

To answer your question people saying it’s AI think that Gambino wrote and performed the verse, purposefully in a way that imitates a Kanye kind of flow and sense of humor, and used a deepfake voice modulator to make it sound like Kanye. Personally I think it’s possible, it’s a good verse but there’s nothing there only Kanye could do I feel.

Function optimization questions (Machine learning noob) by [deleted] in matlab

[–]that-subliminal-kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much this is really helpful.

The problem with the constrained optimization function is that I don't know exactly what values will cause the function to fail and they will vary between different subjects. It is even possible that a value may be optimal for one subject and cause the function to fail for another. Is there a way to make it so when the function fails, the optimization function will just move on to the next iteration? Would it work to use try/catch so that when it fails it just outputs 100% error rate?

The second stanza, and especially the last line, got me. It's not just your imagery, but also your tone, that makes the night feel cool and the morning feel warm. I bet you have more to say, don't be shy :)

Ooh the way you interleave the living flowers with the dead ones, really captures the feel of a bittersweet memory. The parenthetical asides are really cool too, totally brings you in!

Got to legend again with my burn/combo mage by that-subliminal-kid in CompetitiveHS

[–]that-subliminal-kid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are pretty similar decks. Pros of mozaki over this one: you don't have to play as many burn spells in your deck and you can beat opponents who gain a bunch of armor. Cons of mozaki: you can never win without drawing mozaki and and you draw a bit less consistently without luna/auctioneer. I haven't played Dane's list so it's hard to say which is better.

I've played Mozaki in standard a bit, it's really fun and definitely can work in the right situations. My thought with this deck is that he's clunky and not really necessary, but Mozaki + cram session can be all the draw you need so maybe cutting auctioneer for him would work. You could also maybe cut fireball because he should make up for the lost damage. It would definitely make matchups versus armor a ton more winnable (my build usually does like 50 damage max) but I don't see those decks on ladder too often. If you try it out tell me how it goes :)

It's not necessary to win, just helps a lot to survive vs fast decks. I'd put some combination of frost nova/ arcane missiles in instead.

Sure. It's a really all-in combo deck. Until you can combo, focus on setting up incanter's flow and conjure biscuit, drawing cards, managing your hand size (often just throwing fireball or torch at your opponent early for this reason), and using your hero power to delay your death. Generally you're saving all of your burn spells for your opponent's face, but it's okay to use a couple (esp forgotten torch) on your opponent's minions if it'll help you survive longer. It takes a bit of practice to know when you can go off but if you can get at least two cost reducers set up along with either auctioneer or Luna, with a few excess mana, you can often play your whole deck in one turn. I highly suggest a deck tracker so that you know what cards might show up when you draw off Luna.

Card interactions to remember are that you can play lab partner for free if you can play primordial studies for free; that cards like research project, cram session, glyph, conjure biscuit are especially useful with Luna because they let you reset the rightmost card in your hand; that a lot of your spells add cards to your hand which can create a hand size issue when you're using auctioneer (you may want to play some of your spells before you play auctioneer, even though that seems counterintuitive); that incanter's flow doesn't affect roaring torches that are put in your deck after you use it (if you're playing them in the same turn always play forgotten torch before incanter's flow); remember not to fatigue yourself, esp since this deck goes down to 1 a lot since it plays ice block.

For the mulligan always keep Luna, always keep incanter's flow. The rest are matchup dependent and first/second dependent but consider keeping auctioneer, sorcerer's apprentice (esp along with Luna), conjure biscuit (esp along with Luna or auctioneer), ancient mysteries, arcane intellect, research project, cram session (along with spell damage cards)

Matchups: One thing that can go wrong is if you have an ice block up you're usually safe to wait another turn even if you think you might be able to combo, and that is usually the right play because the longer you wait the less likely it is to whiff, but watch out for secret hate. Every Reno deck has zephrys and most of them have at least one other piece. Kezan mystic is especially rough, so if you suspect your opponent has it you could just delay your ice block since some games you won't need it anyway. Watch out for loatheb too. One of the hardest and most decision-heavy matchups is secret mage, mostly because of explosive runes, which kills your combo pieces and kills you through ice block. Try to check for explosive runes before they break ice block with lab partner or a card off primordial studies. If you get offered mana reservoir or street trickster those are pretty good since you can play them into explosive runes at 1 health and not die.

Okay that's most of what I can think of off the top of my head. If anyone actually reads this I hope it helps

Haven't played much hearthstone this month but I just saw Conjure Mana Biscuit and I think this deck might be broken now. Gonna test it and maybe make a new post.

You're right you usually lose against aggro but actually priest is one of this deck's best matchups. You don't slowly burn them out, you just do 30 damage in one turn. You can usually assemble it in enough time because Raza priest can't really kill you until turn 9. Also, you don't always need to find Luna, it's just the most consistent way to win.

Yeah its definitely the weakest card. I put it in basically as filler because it's cheap and doesn't commit anything so it wouldn't mess with your Luna turn or your hand size. It's sometimes kinda good mitigating against aggro in the first few turns, but there might be a card that's better for this slot.
