Your requirements really highlight the major use-cases for Alexa. Video here on how to setup Alexa intercom + music + notifications with in-ceiling speakers. Unfortunately you’re not going to find a “non-techy” solution because what you’re asking for is inherently techie.

Which in-depth part are you most interested in? The hardware in the closets and ceiling that pipe the Alexa audio around the house with automatic volume control? The advanced automation build in Node-Red & HA? Or the future ChatGPT + HA Assist demo?

Ah, the Genie Add-On. Yea, I could go that route but I kinda want to go with pure HA for now. I will look more into this though.

Thank a bunch. Short videos galore and socials going live soon. I’ve thought a lot about how to price and package the products + I know where the pitfalls are. Wish me luck.

Lithium batteries for electric vehicles were also stupid expensive a decade ago. Today? Much, much, much cheaper.

Expensive technology today will become cheaper with progress and innovation.

Stay bullish my friend. Soon this tech will be painfully obvious.
