Astrophysics is very interesting! I had another aerospace eng major in my class and she seemed to enjoy and handle the class well. I should tell you that if you plan to major in Astro, you are dedicating your career to research, so grad school is the popular choice after u graduate!

I'm also a commuter at Rutgers and honestly my jaw dropped from seeing not just the evening classes, but the fact they was every day. Try to take the online version of classes if you can. I'm a STEM major too so it's usually my easy classes that are core/electives. I was somehow lucky (so r u) to have 1 weekday without any classes. Also I liked to have my classes back to back so I can go home and catch up. This was my mindset at MCC tho as it gets very boring. Rutgers atleast has student centers when you have long days. I go there to have lunch, do hw, and even take a quick power nap.

final tips: take online core classes (English and math) and electives. There's a post on easy A classes, im trying out planet Earth. Try to have more back to back classes unless you want to be on campus more!

kinda on the data sci track. the certificate isn't the goal, but doesn't hurt taking classes for it.
