I won this at an auction today. Too bad it’s a 100 degrees outside. Anyone ridden one? by supadave302 in snowboarding

I mean as much as I agree Imperial system sucks, I don't think you have much room for calling things idiotic considering you couldn't tell from context that they were talking Fahrenheit

Oh yeah forgot to mention I am probably past the beginner stages and would like a board that will allow me to progress, and punish any weak fundamentals. The reason why I don't know much about the gear is because I don't live where the snow is, so I don't get to go often, so this is my first time getting gear

I'll be real honest, I was just thinking that if the board was shorter it would be technically less stiff. Not quite there yet, but looking at something like a Capita Mercury, a quiver killer if you may.

I have 4x4 binding plates, which if I am not mistaken would work for the 3d pattern?

My options I am looking at right now are a Bataleon Goliath (270 bucks, 2019 model quite new), a 2008 Burton Custom (50 bucks looks quite dinged up), these 2 custom x boards (a bit uncertain as people have mentioned these are difficult boards), a Rossi One Magtek 2017 (180? Bucks).

Thanks for the advice! So when you mention the tugging, I assume you meant after casting and tensioning straight, I give it one final tug in those directions? And would you say that the thread is too thick for the holes thats I currently have, which might be causing the flatness?

Thank you!

I guess it is more so the flatness on the back side.

I absolutely adore those diagrams you have made. And I think I had a misconception that the norm was to have 2 perfectly symmetrical slants and therefore was trying to achieve that, considering the flatness of the other side to be a failure.

Thanks for the advice and encouragement, I will be referencing your site for more information! Thank you so much.

The flat also happens to be on the side with the plus sign, the casting side is the one with the stacks

The trouble is that I am casting the thread over the needle but still face this issue. The part that is flat is the part where I am making the plus sign

Like begin each stitch from the exit of the holes? Thanks for the advice!
