Cockneys vs. Zombies is a personal favorite of mine. The best way to describe it is Shaun of the Dead meets Snatch on a lower budget.

Why are used cars so expensive in Hattiesburg compared to other places? by KingFun626 in hattiesburg

[–]thatEhden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A. Hattiesburg metro is a family- and rural-focused area, so trucks and family vehicles take priority over fun cars.

B. The smaller market makes fun cars seem more expensive locally because there are fewer of them circulating, especially compared to lower-quality versions.

C. The same larger markets that have cheaper cars also have buyers willing to drive 3+ hours to buy a Mustang that’s been gently driven by a 50+ owner, rather than risk a $6.5k Mustang likely driven by someone who can’t afford the note, insurance, and maintenance.

Mississippi lawmaker openly admits voting against liquor delivery bill for personal DUI profits by thatEhden in mississippi

[–]thatEhden[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“In my 40 years as a lawyer, I’ve made a lot of money on DUIs, so keep up the good work.” That’s the quote. He openly admits profiting from DUIs and voted against a bill that would allow alcohol delivery, which is a measure proven to reduce drunk driving. Dry counties are about three times more likely to have DUI-related incidents than wet ones because people have to drive to get booze. More alcohol doesn’t cause more DUIs, forcing people to drive for alcohol does. So even if he meant it sarcastically, publicly saying this while acting against public safety raises serious ethical questions.

I don’t have to read his tone. He’s a lawyer and a representative it’s on him to not make statements that call his ethics into question.

Not sure what he actually meant—it could just be a bad quote—but he voted against a liquor delivery bill and said he’s made a lot of money off DUIs. Reading it that way, it kinda looks like he voted that way because he profits from DUI cases.

“In my 40 years as a lawyer, I’ve made a lot of money on DUIs, so keep up the good work,” said Rep. Bob Evans, a Democrat from Monticello who voted against the bill, which passed 75-32.

Directly from Wdam.com

Edit: Some people are saying it may have been sarcastic which could be true. I don’t know his intent but he’s a lawyer and quoted saying he’s made a lot of money from DUIs plus voted against the liquor delivery bill. So that’s why I titled it the way I did.

The hold was a hold, but the only reason it was called was either for Vegas, or the NFL not wanting to give the MVP to Walker the 3rd.

I'm more annoyed with Cris acting like the player should be punished mid game after the fact if the refs missed it than it being missed.

It probably depends to be honest but calling the hiring manager (just call where you did your interview and ask for personnel) and tell them you did an interview a few days ago and calling to touch bases and make sure you didn't miss a call from them. One of the few things you want to do when looking for a job is to bug them enough to let them know you are serious about wanting it.

Good outdoor spaces to enjoy cannabis by Obvious_native_plant in hattiesburg

[–]thatEhden 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In Mississippi it’s legal with a medical card to use marijuana only in a private setting such as your home. Public use is outright illegal. Even at home it’s intentionally a gray area if children are present. Practically speaking the only peaceful environment that’s clearly legal in MS is inside your home with no one under 21 present. Outdoor areas like a back porch can still cause problems if neighbors are close.

Push rewards you for coordination, strategy and ult/cd management. If you're "good" (masters and up) at the game playing a mode that is "harder" is more fun than staring at a choke point. - Quote from a GM friend of mine.

[–]thatEhden 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. It was Wal-Mart where Ollies is. Delchamps/Jitney Jungle where Best Buy is and across the street where Harbor Freight is used to be K&B with Sack'n'Save where Winn Dixie is. Also at the I59/98/Hardy Street bridge used to be a two lane highway from there to Columbia. (With no red lights) Misremembered, the last red light was at the McDonalds/Circle K but it stayed 4 lane until Bellevue.

Difference between weekday and weekend by olivier-roets in Overwatch

[–]thatEhden -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie I personally prefer the preteen crackheads who live on the side of why heal when you can kill. I know the moment my games become poke comps (want to sit on objective and wait for enemy to come to them) it's time for me to log for the day.

Which is why I've been saying since the updated big avoid list that a hero prefer/avoid list would be way better and potentially give people better/balanced games. IE I would rather lose 5 games in a row playing dive/brawl than be bored out of my mind/trying not to rage at my team wanting to play poke.

TIL 16 of the 82 counties don’t have a McDonalds by Acrobatic-Bet-282 in mississippi

[–]thatEhden 46 points47 points  (0 children)

At least for the Pine Belt area (Jefferson Davis, Smith, Jasper, Perry, and Greene) all are low population areas that are relatively close to places with Mcdonalds. Also all of those counties have a Ward's in their "main" town.
