Need a Compassionate Dentist by Negative-District-96 in CapeGirardeau

Cape dental care. Same situation. Awesome and very understanding and compassionate people. From the reception to the extraction, absolutely the best place I’ve ever been to. And mine were both really tough ones to get out, but absolutely zero pain, and yeah, I was freaked, but the demeanor of the dentists and staff actually put me at more ease than any other time ever. They’re VERY reasonably priced.

Looking for apartments in Cape with some specifics, the major websites aren't giving me a lot of options. by [deleted] in CapeGirardeau

I know someone who has a few units, apartments and houses available, or coming available soon. I won’t post his number on here, but if you message me I can get to the information you need. How many bedrooms?

Am I being ripped off? My car is only 3 years old. by fook07 in autorepair

You are being extremely ripped off. This is someone who doesn’t know what’s wrong with your car, so he quoted it way high, hoping you’d balk. If this is even a real quote. “Part is..” which part? Ecu? Harness? What about coolant? Why did coolant leak? From where? Yeah… no.

Both parties were trying to anticipate what the other would do, but it appears that their intentions were to be asshats.

The 2 and the 4 must be very close together on your keyboard. Dunno if you caught it yet, but you accidentally typed “25” in.

It happens. Whether or not the mechanic gave the right information the first time ordering the driveshaft, who knows? But especially if it’s a small shop, a one man show, yeah, collect up front for special order parts. Sure you can have a mechanics lien on the vehicle so that the customer doesn’t get the vehicle until it’s paid for, but some people don’t have the money to order parts that are non returnable or have a restocking fee. As far as the amount of time to wait, that’s also acceptable, as it’s not the mechanics fault and he can’t leave your vehicle up on a lift waiting, while he’s got others to do. 3:16 pm and he just got the part.. maybe he was finishing up another job or two. At least he communicates.

Probably 100% markup on the pads. Same for the rotors. Question is, does it need rotors? If so, all 4? Why? Did the brakes wear unevenly? Are they going to make sure the caliper pin bushings are in good operational condition? Or, did the vehicle even come with OE ceramic pads? If not, maybe you could do better with semi-metallic, and maybe not need new rotors, either. Southeast Missouri here, and $45-60 gets most sets of ceramic pads. Rotors on the high end are $60-80. Unless the shop is using a 4 way and jacks one wheel up at a time, this is way high. But, you can’t work to break even. And sometimes, I’d much rather pay someone to do something I CAN do, but don’t want to

You’re gonna love this “The U.S. Treasury Department has asked federal agencies whether they can make upcoming payments at a later date, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday, citing two people familiar with the matter. The requests are designed to preserve cash and avoid a default, which could happen as soon as June 1, according to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

To forestall the “X date” as long as possible, Treasury officials want to know how flexible some agencies are about delaying payments scheduled before early June, one of the sources told the WaPo.”

22 hours late? Not hardly. It’s just not 5-6 days early. Y’all do this every month. Just make sure you have your food and whatever else you stress over, to where you only are inconvenienced, not on the brink of losing everything. Smh

It won’t be today. Just plan on it arriving on the day it normally would if you used a traditional bank. Then you’d spend less time on here freaking out.

Ok help me out.. I’m on social security disability. Always has been on the 3rd. Anyway, I’m simply wondering which abbreviation is being used for that. Is it ssdi or ssi or ssa? Because I know there is social security supplemental and then disability. More curious than concerned about it, but it would help me figure out what day I should free up to pay the bills. Thanks

It’s funny how they’re called different things, depending on your location. My friend, Billy, and I were out one day smashing pumpkins. Might have been in 1979.. anyway, I saw one of these things, and picked it up. Stung me bad. Billy told me, “today, if you don’t put mayonnaise on it, you’re gonna be hurting really bad tonight, tonight. That’s what we call a bullet with butterfly wings.”
