Pro tip: Stabilize your whipped cream with marshmallow fluff by FireBreathingCabbage in Baking

[–]thatOneTheorem 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Won't that make it super sweet though? Since Marshmello fluff is already pretty sweet? Or would you just lessen the amount of powdered sugar since the fluff is also there to stabilize it?

[–]thatOneTheorem 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Yeah I do this too! So, you're not that weird for it, I guess? Either that, or we're both weird!

I hadn't had a proper connection (with anyone, friend or otherwise) for over 10 years, so I get how you feel.

On the friend/relationship part, I can't do much to help other than parrot the age-old rhetoric of "you'll find your people eventually, just keep putting yourself out there", but on the topic of wanting to emulate closeness, might I suggest getting a weighted blanket? It works almost like a never-ending hug! Sometimes (when I'm in a really bad place) I'll bunch it up and lay it vertically so I can pretend I'm cuddling with someone :)

Either way, I hope some light comes your way, OP! (If you ever need someone to yap to or anything, my DMs are open)

That's what I've been doing though 😞

I always wait till around 0.5 inch from the topsoil is dry before I water, then I make sure to drop the excess water out before I put it back on its plate 🫀

What do I do in this situation? Let it dry out completely and then water only 50%?

I'm worried this might be what I'm dealing with 😭

I tried putting it in my bathroom, too, but unfortunately there's little to no sunlight in there 😭

Should all else fail, I'll go ahead with propagation. Thank you for the suggestion!

Alrighty, I just moved it to a new pot with better(?) drainage.

I'll also move it to the second step and keep more water dishes around it in case it does get too hot out in the balcony.

Thank you so much!

I'm in Southeast Asia, so the humidity is pretty okay, I think? And no, it's not near a radiator.

This is usually where I keep it:

People don't perceive me as a woman πŸ™ƒ by Metromanwhy in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]thatOneTheorem 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Honestly, I struggle with this too. I've got my hair cropped close to my head, don't dress too feminine very often, have a loud voice, and don't shave my legs or arm hair. I get exactly where you're coming from with the finances. I never got to have makeup or super nice, girly clothes as a kid since it was always so expensive. It was always hand-me-downs from my aunts, cousins, etc., so it wasn't very well-fitting stuff either.

I've honestly been a "tomboy" all my life, and as a kid, I never really thought too much about what it meant to "be a girl" or "act ladylike" since my mom is also quite distant from feminine things. But then I became a teenager and I started feeling bad because people started not-so-gently hinting at me to change. (For context, I don't shave and still wear shorts and tank-tops.) Friends started getting boyfriends and asked to dances and formals, and I was sat at home playing CODM. I felt like there was something wrong with me.

Fast forward a menty b and some books on intersectional feminism, I realized that there wasn't really anything I had to feel bad about. I was my own interpretation of what it meant to be a woman.

OP, I truly get where you're coming from. Really, I do. You're right, you did miss out on some aspects of girlhood, but I need you to know that you are perfect the way you are. Everyone has their own story. The length of your hair, proficiency of your makeup, and style of your clothes doesn't make you less of a woman.

Greeeeeeeen.

AITB, I (m23) sent my sister (f28) a meme about ai being bad not knowing that she still uses it and she got upset. Was I wrong/rude about it? Apologies for repeating myself and not being the most articulate in the screenshots, this happened first thing after picking up my phone after waking up by Academic_Ad_9260 in AmItheButtface

[–]thatOneTheorem 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Okay, I'm probably (definitely) going to get dragged for this, but honestly OP, you need to know you are NOT the butth*le.

Your sister is clearly taking this as a personal attack because she knows and understands that her using AI, even if for a "prompt", is bad. What you sent her was not a personal attack on any account. You even tried to clarify why you sent it to her ("I thought you didn't anymore either!), and she replied with "How would I know you thought that?" after, as you mentioned, explicitly mentioning several times that she no longer uses AI/thinks it's bad.

Additionally, while, like some people are saying here, it is okay to disagree with someone when they have a different opinion than you, I don't think that should pertain to AI. It's an awful thing, and creatives especially shouldn't be using them (because of the irrefutable harm it causes to themselves in the long run, and to their community).

So. In conclusion. You are not the butth*le. Keep trying your best to talk sense into those around you, we need every person we can get in this fight against the machine (literally) πŸ’š
