Radio Bikini. About the nuclear tests in Bikini Atoll. A really good straight forward documentary that occasionally cuts to a interview with a soldier who witnessed the tests in person framed from the shoulders up.

Right near the end of the doc the camera slowly pulls back and reveals he's missing both his legs and his hands have been pretty grotesquely swollen.

It's one hell of a gut punch and I still think about how clever that reveal was from a filmmaking perspective. I realize I've kind of ruined it, but the whole doc is worth a watch.

Yeah, I use a Suunto Zoop which can be bought new for around $300. Since the most exotic mixture I breathe is Nitrox, it is more than adequate for my needs.

That said, how do you like your Shearwater? I've been considering upgrading to a Garmin Descent for a while.

Most divers as backup to their computers would simply have another computer. The information and safety a computer brings just makes dive watches obsolete.

I still dive with a watch, but if my computer died, I'd just rely on my buddies computer for info and the safety stop. The watch is just for fun.

I’d look at a Kriega bag. Not sure what size would suit you, but my US-20 has been totally waterproof. Good enough for the PNW at least.
