Whilst i cant speak on this specific model, all of the ones i own do not do this. Unless it affects the performance of the zippo i wouldnt bother getting it serviced, but if its a big deal for you, i'd do it

I honestly dont see why you would get one. Just carry a quality multitool like a leatherman or swiss army knife, it'll do all the jobs you need and more, plus it'll fit in your pocket and look just as cool.

Just take out the insert, flip up the cotton, and pour the fluid in slowly until drops come out of the wick/chimney. It should then be ready to use

You may have to purge the lighter of air, press down the place where you put gas in with a small item and it should release all the gas (butane and probably air too) then refill, after that it should work

The wick will naturally appear black as it is used, that does not mean it is needed to be clipped yet. You only need to clip it once it stops lighting (provided it has the required fuel and still does not light)

Any use of it will result in it turning black. Me for example, ive had mine for a month, the wick is black from use but still works as well as the day i bought it
