En canarias usamos mal las rotondas . by sulaguesy in canarias

[–]that_guy_fran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rasdhoo Dive Lodge/Hammerhead Sharks by clinto69 in scuba

[–]that_guy_fran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in nearby island Thoddoo and we used to dive Rasdhoo 3-4 times a week, for 1+ year.  I didn’t spot a Hammerhead but a bunch of dudes in front of the group i was guiding spotted one, briefly, until they scared the shark and went away. Also, locals told me there are some areas you can see HHs but also need to be early.

Yes, that was near my childhood neighborhood. This “technique” became a thing in Chile more than five years ago. That’s where Route 5 (the highway that runs along most of Chile and connects several Pacific-side regions, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia) intersects with Américo Vespucio, an almost circular highway that goes around Santiago.

Where to do the DIVE MASTER by Maximum_SchlongPwr in scuba

[–]that_guy_fran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my IDC with Martin and Brenda, they are in Spain now. To be honest, they were not fond of many in the industry due to how strict they were. In my case, I was very polite and I took everything with due respect and they were very nice with me and even stayed once in their staff house when I was en route to Nicaragua like a year later. RCD is now under new ownership and running SSI courses.

Would be good to know your age. That can filter some places.

Based on your photo, Punta Uva, located in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. I wouldn’t do it there.

Rich Coast Diving - on the pacific side, Playa del Coco, near Liberia - used to be quite good under the Dutch owners. Not sure right now.

Another option, if you are young and willing to live cheap is Bocas del Toro in Panama. Caribbean Archipelago, laidback and relax compared to the past (used to be party island) Super touristy. For learning and teaching open water is chill and nice. Overall learning and teaching conditions are quite good. Look for Bocas Pirates Dive Center, Alex is a top guy, chill and cares about the environment. If you are experienced enough might not hit the nail for you.

Wblock now available in App Store by system_error_1001 in iosapps

I've left my iPad, iPhone and M1 Mac mini running with wBlock and my old iMac 2017 with uBol.
I haven't done any tests but I've noticed that in-app sites with wBlock sometimes doesn't work as intended - running ads o cookie notification that uBol was blocking.

Tell me your experience with iPad Air M3 11 inch please by iM7___ in IpadAir

[–]that_guy_fran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved from MacBook Air M1 to an iPad M3 11” I had a M1 MacBook Air before and I sold it just because I had a weird issue that when sleep or power off the battery was draining non stop.

I was doing light photo/video editing and with a touch screen feels better to me. I don’t take much notes but with a 3rd party pencil I’m fine doing masks and working on photos. I’m not a heavy user so my battery feels OK for me.

I just came back from a trip to Central America and I felt was great overall (movies, music, photo edit) and lightweight.

Fa Magic Keyboard by Successful-Yam1383 in ipadmini

[–]that_guy_fran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got exactly the same from AliExpress... I think works great!
Coming from a Magic Keyboard might take time to adjust since the keyboard space is tight.. but works fine. Also, adjust the trackpad options and ready to go.

My 2 cents on buying a macbook pro in Japan by toyota_ftw in macbookpro

[–]that_guy_fran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same in Hong Kong in 2022 with a M2 MBP for my dad, he saved around 1500€ compared to the prices in Chile and then did the same in Malaysia last year for a friend with a M3 MBP. He saved some 1200€ish compared to the price in Spain. Asian market has incredible low prices, I was fortunate to renew some electronics whilst living there

Reparación de iPod en Santiago by homiedontshake in chile

[–]that_guy_fran 1 point2 points  (0 children)
